Make a sound effect and light bulb go on and off at the same time
Archive: 7 posts
In lbp1 i use to create a piston with tags on either end to go back and fourth at a desired speed to turn things on and off at times but with the new "easier" tools i just cant quite work this out. must be one of the easiest things aswell anyway i think its the Timer i need but i cant get it to automatically reset itself and begin the count again. Thanks in advance! | 2011-02-27 09:21:00 Author: dirts7970 Posts: 74 |
Try running a wire from the output both to a selector(with 2 outputs(On/Off) and to the Reset input on the timer. It should reset itself the moment the count hits the specified number(in theory). Also, make sure the On selection chosen on the selector has two wires: one going to the light, the other going to the sound. | 2011-02-27 10:02:00 Author: Unknown User |
A good way to make a natural blinking light is a randomizer hooked up to the light. If you want the sounds to match the light, you can: 1. Put the randomizer on a microchip and take the output coming OUT OF THE CHIP (Not the randomizer) and stick it to the sound. 2. Hook up randomizer to both inputs on OR gate and connect output of OR gate to sound and light. (Easier) | 2011-02-27 10:47:00 Author: Devious_Oatmeal Posts: 1799 |

Check Comphermc's tutorial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVYY0z4HSq8&feature=related), it fits your needs perfectly | 2011-02-27 23:23:00 Author: Shadowheaven Posts: 378 |
If you want it in a timed sequence, use a sequencer - in this place a battery (hold up to stretch the length of time it stays on or loop the sequencer to have it on permanently) and wire the battery to the light and/or sound effect or just place the sound effect on the sequencer in the same strip as the battery. If you have 2 strips in the sequencer (for example) leave 1 blank so that as it loops you get that blinking effect. This is a versatile method as you can toy with blinking timings easily. | 2011-02-28 12:43:00 Author: Tanuki75 Posts: 172 |
So many suggestions... but it's so simple. Just user a timer. Do you want it to gradually fade in and out or just turn off? Either way, tweak the timer and look for "input method" or words along those lines. By default it says "On/Off" - change it to "Forwards/Backwards" and for "Invert Output?" Say Yes. Now hook the Timer's output into it's own input. (The input on the LEFT, it should say TIMER: Forwards/Backwards ,NOT the Reset!). Now hook this timer up to your light and sound, tweak the timer's speed for... speed. If you want it to gradually fade in and out, with this in place just tweak your light and set input method to "Dimmer". | 2011-02-28 12:54:00 Author: Foofles Posts: 2278 |
