I just been having this for a while and...well yeah im embracing the fact that most likely one day the PS3 will go.. "Bee bee beep" and yellow light comes out =/ For some reason, when The PS3 heats up, I hear this crack noise, similar to what you here (almost exactly) when you break a stick in half for example. I just have a feeling it is, but im just gonna ask, Im getting the Yellow light soon arent i?...

XD lol no but really, its really weird, usually when I cool it down while playing it goes just fine, but when its heating up I hear the "CracK" noise over and over. Like if something keeps breaking, and I have no idea why.

It could just be the whirving sound of the disc scanner stopping periodically.
