New Forum Addon

Archive: 12 posts

Another modification has been made to the forums here, and it comes in the style of image resizing. Here's the deal: If you post an image that is deemed 'too large', it will be automatically resized for you. You don't have to do anything, it works by itself. Here's an example:

It's not really a new feature, but it's another step toward keeping the boards nice and neat. Enjoy!

Haha, I've seen that on other forums, never knew it was an add on though. It's good though, I have a habit of posting massive images.2008-08-10 20:26:00

You and lots of other people, which is why we added it. It works good, eh?

Yeah, thanks Cartman for the heads up on this one. I've seen it before, but it's funny how sometimes you don't think about things on what you yourself are doing. LOL

must we really keep this feature (if not atleast have a personal setting), I don't mind having big pictures stretching the page, I do mind needing to switch windows to view the full picture and the thread2008-08-11 00:39:00

Personally, I like it. It shrinks down to a size that is still easily viewable, so you don't have to worry about not being able to understand what is going on the picture. Plus, it keeps people from stretching out the forum by posting large images. It's better than prohibiting large images altogether, which is the only other option.

And, no, I don't think there is a way to make image resizing a preference.

We never really had a problem with really big pictures being posted. I guess I'm just nitpicking, since the new "click this yellow bar for full image" is bugging me"2008-08-11 05:01:00
