Actually quite entertaining, but there are some things that could be improved in my opinion. - The base game concept should be changed in a way that there is no time limit, but a damage counter, each tomato that comes through adds to the counter and you get the score penalty. - The cannon should not be auto-fire. Player feels kind of passive if you just need to hold the fire button. Set the laser emitter to one-shot. Would be good for a more action-feeling and the player can actually control the rate of fire. - The starting game mechanism seemed over-complicated to me. "Move right and push L2 to start, pull switch to spawn another pod". Make it auto-start and there are ways to make second pod spawn automatically if needed... this would also avoid accidental second pod spawns. - I liked the idea of the mutant killer tomatoes, and the design is well done. You should maybe change the cannon design though, kinda looked cheap. You could also include some temporary weapon upgrade drops or something or add some more types of enemys.
