LOL robotiod. I'm going to have to graciously decline on your request.

As for how I got it before most of Japan, I know an importer near my work so he hooks me up. They usually get stuff early from JP anyway.

As for the other differences, off the top of my head... gyroscope, obviously stronger in all aspects, analog "stick," Altered Reality (AR) games with 3DS cameras, 3D camera shots, mp3 player (the DSi only did AAC and other types of files), ummm... I'm sure there's other stuff I'll get to when I get some time with it after work.		2011-02-25 22:00:00

Did you just get the one game...looks like street fighter? Does the 3d effect really make a better fighting game or is it just a gimmick? I have yet to play SSFIV yet, but we'll see if it makes it a more immersive experience. I'm alright at SSFIV anyway, so I'll see what's up. Sadly, no one else I know owns the darn thing yet, so I'll have to wait for that conclusion.

I had tons of time with it at E3 last year at Nintendo's press booth, so I can say it's what swayed me to get it in the first place. You wanna know what the best 3D game is so far, imo? Nintendogs + Cats. Turning off the 3D does not do it justice at all. The reason I didn't get it now is because my Japanese is very limited, lol. I am getting it for my US 3DS next month though, haha. There's blue, but my dude had no more when I picked it up. Would've got that instead since I already preordered a black US 3DS for myself and the wife's getting the aqua blue one as well.

Depends on the game really. Nintendogs when I played it at E3 was a 10. So far the menu screen and the Mii creation thing are at that same level. We'll see when I start playing SSFIV. Menus are sexy though.		2011-02-25 23:39:00

Qestions: Can it do the features the normal PSP can do? eg: play videos, surf internet browser, access acounts, and be used as a an MP3.

Though I think I'll just wait for the NGP/PSP2 (But I have to admit the new Resident Evil for the 3DS does look rather nice)		2011-02-27 01:20:00

I know it does MP3s. The browser isn't added as of yet... but it's coming. It can play videos as well since there's a partnership with Disney, Warner, etc. to have 3D movies.2011-02-27 02:37:00

if so can you record footage of it?

AR cards only work with the AR games. You only take pics of faces for Face Raiders.
- there's no installing games on the 3DS aside from what you get from the 3DS shop
- play coins are generally for accessories and whatnot. I don't know what you can buy in the AR section, but you can purchase PP points in SSFIV to get figures for the StreetPass fight

nintendogs + cats uses the ar cards and if you use any of them other than the question mark one you're dog gets a little hat based on the character.

I don't have the JP version of Nintendogs so I haven't been able to mess around with that feature. Thanks for bringing it up though. As for eye stress, I haven't been feeling too much of it as of late. Your mileage may vary though.		2011-02-28 18:26:00

I feel like they should make another Super Smash Bros on the 3DS. It seems like a perfect fit, with that nifty little flat "analog stick"(forget what its called, I know its not that, but you know what Im talking about), those graphics, and the fact that theyve already made 3 of the games in console version. They cant stop, its a great series and makes too much money and they wouldnt stop making them(like Pokemon), but a fourth console game would just be too much.2011-03-28 02:24:00

I'm highly interested in getting a 3DS. But I think I'm gonna wait for the next version. I really don't have the money right now, I hear the battery life is crap, and not a lot of games I'm interested in are out except Nintendogs. Till then my DS Lite will hold me. so my 3ds shipped. i might as well state how i state what i think about the games.

super street fighter 4 3d edition: im terrible at fighting games but this is the one i played the most. its really fun but the 3d is hard to notice.

nintendogs + cats: pretty good. not exactly you should buy if you want something like an action game. the 3d's decent.

pilotwings resort: great. it has the best 3d out of all the launch titles but it will hurt your eyes if you play it too long apparently

ar games: not bad. i don't recommend using the 3d with it though because you have to move around a lot.

face raiders: good when it works. 3d is the same as the ar games.

The next Nintedo handheld after the DS is over is the 3DS. Eventually they'll stop making DS games, just like the conversion frm GBA to DS.

I won't get one yet, none of the games interest me. I have a feeling I'd mess around with the new stuff for a bit then go back to playing Pok?mon Black. So I'll wait a bit. Maybe for my birthday, we'll see what it's doing then.		2011-03-31 08:05:00

3DS games will not work on any previous DS it's a new generation of hardware.

If you want to play a new pokemon game... that's correct. But just think of it this way--the next pokemon game will probably have way better graphics, way better features, be a lot more fun, and be in glasses-free 3D.		2011-04-04 04:20:00
