That was absolutely AWESOME! (pardon me for yelling...)

All I can say is, keep it up! I'll come back for moar! I can really tell that you've put a lot of work into this one! Advertise advertise advertise! Get plays and attention for this wonderful level so it can motivate you to keep going. I know how much work it is with this kind of logic, and yours is suprisingly stable!

Thumbs up, liked and hearted!

Something like that. But it only had about 86 plays and was stuck there for about 2 days.
I desided to publish again. Not as good of an idea as i thought

Ok, finished playing all the way through. These are my thoughts (both good and bad) about how I would change things if I were the one making this level. Since I get the feeling that you want to be taken seriously as a creator, I'll try to be as frank as possible, buy keep in mind that this is just my personal opinion - you can take it or leave it. We'll start with the good:

GOOD:
- Extremely complex yet solid logic system
- Cool character design
- Cool character abilities
- Clear interface

It's clear that logic is NOT your problem. What you've done here is nothing short of astounding (I'm jealous) and the fact that everything works right in every situation every single time is a testament to your logic abilities. This is a great battle system and is the perfect foundation upon which to build an epic, turn-based, story-driven RPG, which is what I believe you are going for. It's evident even at this early stage that you've put in a metric butt-ton of work into this thing. You should be proud of what you've accomplished. That being said...

BAD:
- Slooooooow pacing
- Bland and inconsistent art style
- Missing significant details
- Amateurish voice acting

Your biggest obstacle here is pacing. Everything takes entirely too long. And in a genre as repetitive as turn-based RPGs, it's exacerbated. This is not a good problem to have when you're trying to appeal to an audience with short attention spans (which is 99% of all LBP players). If I were you, I would take all the little pauses and canned sequences and shorten them by half. And then do it again. And then have some outsiders play test it and be prepared to shorten them even further. Once a player has seen a certain animation or sequence, their brain can fill in the skipped parts, and you can be sure that they'll be glad to get on with the rest of the game (which is why they're playing in the first place).

Also, your art style and general design aesthetic seems a bit cobbled together. It lacks cohesion. For instance, There's a strong sort of medieval vibe during the first few moments, but all the sudden the first knight enemy pulls out an assault rifle? WTF? Plus, although I loved the costumes on the final boss, and especially on Blade, I thought the main character was a little blah. If he's who I start out with, I want him to be cooler looking than my other random party members that I pick up over the course of the story.

And finally, nix the voice acting, or find some new talent (probably best just to nix it). I realize either you or some of your friends did the voice acting here, but frankly it's terrible. And unless you're going for a sort of stereotypical campy nerd vibe (i.e. let's play dungeons & dragons in my mom's basement!), then you're not going to be taken seriously.

Final Thoughts - Please don't think I'm being too harsh or negative, cause that's not my intention. I'm stoked about what you're trying to accomplish here, and I think you guys are on the right track, you just need to make a few adjustments. Decide if you want it to be campy or serious, and then once you make that decision stick to it - as rigidly as you can. Crank the pacing and the battle speed up to 11, and spend a little more time on the "wow" factor of your special effects and you're sure to have a winner on your hands.

Smiley faced and hearted

P.S. If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to have your honest opinions on my top down RPG concept. It's called Project Skyrim and you can view it here (http://lbp.me/v/x6etx9). Thank you

notes on the review: A LOT of this was done spare the moment. The VA was rushed i will admit! We did that last second before publishing!
- its a beta. I'm getting YOU guys to test it

I agree w/ some things in that review. but there are some things that were put there on perpose that you pointed out as negitive. (ie: the gun. That is explained l8er.)

In the demo I do recommend a little story, just saying. It is a bit confusing what is happening.2011-02-26 18:10:00

there are few who play this level. But all is not lost. I will remember the suffering pains of creation upon this project; and my idiotic ideas have layed me in ruin.

I will continue this project. But with open eyes. That the community that we hold most dear, will not have my back. it will not save the logic masters. it will let mediocrody rise and masterpieces fall. for devotion gives one shallow eyes. and with shallow eye you can not see.

to see the shadows though the community is impossible. and the impossible i did. i saw though this shadow and saw a bigger one. one set by the develpoers. ones who are not shallow, but still blind. they may have heightened senses, but no community vision.

I stood in this wake. I stood with community at heart. I stood... with sorrow.

I now stand in truth, and it is a shallow, and bitter liquid. I will drink it no more. but i will not breath the shallow bog of community, nor the stench of the blind.

I will be. And let be, what i hinder.
My game
is my game.
with it i will stand.
and with it i will fall.

Take with that what you will.

Is this just more of that pervasive "emo" wave that's sweeping through LBP2 right now? I swear, everywhere I look I see sackpeople with hair decorations all down in their faces, publishing gushy poetry about the angst of teenage life. I'm surprised we're not swimming in Twilight levels right now 2011-03-01 06:06:00

That's a horrible response to a well thought out and meaningful piece of writing.

So this is what Ultima turned into?!

Oh, goody! I didn't have the beta so I was forced to watch Ultima from afar..... Now I can play it! (To an extent)

yep this is "ultima"
i desided to change the name to something a bit more original (appearantly not that good of a move )

my writing is pretty self explanitory
its writing for every unknown creator (or semi-known) out there.

:O at the deep meaningful poetry.. I'm kinda sorry idk..
Anyways i already reviewed it before , but this is a great demo, and a very great use of logic..

What i do when i publish a level, i most of the time do it on the begin of the weekend, and then send (spam?) messages to my friends and tell them to play it.. i think most "known" creators do the same.. it then just depends on the ammount of people who like, heart, etc, if it gets on the cool pages..

The appearence of the level on peoples' screen is very important too (like icon, title, etc)
Idk, but instead of
"Remnants of the Horizon Beta/ Demo [ rpg level ]" ,
call it something like: "Remnants of the Horizon [Beta] - RPG Level " and add a organized long description, and upload beatiful pictures of the level?

Anyways yeah it should have more plays, but you shouldn't let this stop you from creating..
