I need a little help acing the first level. How exactly do you do it? How do you avoid having to kill yourself when the bridge falls?

You walk onto the bridge and quickly back off of the bridge to the left. The bridge will collapse but there will be a bird that will fly down, allowing you to swing over.

There's a cardboard cutout of a shoe near the start, place the sticker on there and it will unlock a race and a bird to swing over where the bridge breaks.

As Rabid Coot said there is a sticker switch at the start of the level in the shape of a shoe, you put the rainbow sneakers sticker on it and it drops a race gate starting point and also drops a suspended bird over the gap where the bridge usually is so you can jump, grab the bird and swing over and not die hence aceing the level.
