The playdoh factory

Hello, I just published a new level called THE PLAYDOH FACTORY and I would like to know what you think. Its a Artistic platformer.

+ Cool intro, haha.
- Poor layer switching on the first bounce pads.
- Cannot see that the bounce pad platforms are only one square thick before it's too late.
- If you layer shift down at the start of the molding tube, you fall out of the level.
- Having to get rid of the creatinator when you wanted to grab the bonus containers was rather annoying.
- Grapple in only in 2 of the 3 tubes?
- Unclear direction after 3 grapple sponges.
- Have to backtrack to get grapple if you die.
- Would be better if there was a counter for each tub of bonus playdough grabbed.

Had some fun moments though. That grappling through the hazards was my favourite bit.

Thank you midnight for your feedback, I will chek back on the level and work on the bounce pads (adding a game camera too them to show you here they are) I totally agree with you, the layer shift out of the molding tube I did not find but I will have to check on that. (I was thinking that might be a creation glitch in the game cuz I thought it was solid) and I just noticed the grapple in the last stage in only 2 of 3 tubes. (Easy fix) and the going back for the creatanator I was debating but I thought maybe it jst added to the length of the level and dedication to get all the score points, and finally what do you mean by a counter on each score tub? (of course I do know what the counter is)

I am glad you liked the intro I had to pull it off of youtube becuase my three ear old did not want to keep saying "I want to play with playdoh" even though he says that all fraking day to me.

Ohayo! Overall cool level
- You could work on maintaining the flow a bit better in certain parts of the level, like the one part where you have to scale that shaft with the play doh shooting creatinator. This part felt a bit annoying and could make people give up. (because people are lazy)
- When going down the tube into the molding plant(?) it is possible to fall out of the build if your sackboy is in the outer layer. I fell all the way down to the floor of the level.
Nothing a little thin dark matter can't fix, though.

Nevertheless, keep creating, and keep playing!

A really nice and entertaining level! The part that had nightwish music cracked me up! =D
A few things to improve:
-you could make some original music
-maybe mess around with the colour correction a little?
-add a few races here and there
-make playdoh enemies? (your own choise)

Thanks for the feed back guys I finally fixed the vertical tube outta map issue and for all of the Whiners I added a game play tip to the creatanator section. I just added everyone's levels to my queue I should be able to get to them tonight.2011-02-25 19:14:00
