Two things i would like to see in lbp: tweakable weather systemm. Rain, snow, wind, etc. I would also like to see creatable backgrounds.

those are good ideas, using water projectiles is a lot of hassle and thermometer space (if covering large spaces).... and paintballs look rubbish

Specially rain, because with the tools we have at the moment it's impossible to make good rain.

Now this is a good idea. A weather system would make level making better and more fun. But then we get all the levels with JUST weather tweakers in them for about 2 weeks.

been asked a LOT on other threads, but i'll still give my 2 cents here: Yes its a good idea.but here's the way i would go at it if i was Mm (to make everyone happy: Make it a filter (like the colour correction) but w/ multipule sliders. 1 for rain, 1 for snow, 1 for lightning, 1 for wind (add direction numbers like w/ movers) and a toggle/ slidder for elemental sounds! But as for custom backgrounds: I'm fine w/ the 3d layer glitch, but if they can make it easyer and an official tool, so be it.

you can make pretty good rain if you add water to your level and have giant rockets facing down submerged so that the thrust creates droplets that fly up so it kinda looks like rain. I saw it used very well in a heavy rain about .5 - 1 ago.

Weather would be awesome. The possabilities would be endless. With the wind you could create waves on the water. The snowfall with a slope could create avalanches. The rain flooding (although you can already do this with the water I suppose). Lightning would create the perfect atmosphere for the horror levels and maybe even act as a hazard (burnt trees anyone?).

Avalon's background already takes one full bar of thermo, something like thiswould most likely take a lot as well, so it would really be no different than making your own imo. Heck, a system for this may even eat up more thermo than hand made.
