The Amory Wars: Chronicles

For those who don't know, The Amory Wars is a story created by the lead of the band Coheed and Cambria, Claudio Sanchez. The story is long, but it takes place in a universe where 78 planets are connected by high powered beams, the system called The Keywork (the bands logo). And God creates three races, Mage, Prise, and Man. Mages rule over the different sectors of the Keywork, 1 for each of the 12 sectors. The Prise, blue skinned blond females with wings, are the guardians of the Keywork. One of the Mages, Wilhelm Ryan, gets corrupt and starts to take every sector, killing the other mages. I don't want to blow too much more, but a scientist creates Cambria, Coheed, and Jesse, also known as K.B.I, Knowledge, Beast, and Inferno, respectively.

I plan on making a series of levels loosely based on the prequel, The Year Of The Black Rainbow, Coheed and Cambria being playable. I've been working on my first, a training level. It will be a episodic adventure that will take you from the training grounds of your creator, to a city to stop a plot of Wilhelm's army, known as The Red Army, into space, and to the heart of Wilhelms army, House Atlantic.

Currently, im working on level design and logistics, but I will require composers (the levels will use songs from the album of the same name). Suggestions and comments are welcome, and any help is appreciated.

It'd be fun to see how you implement that wicked arm cannon. Are the playable characters going to be sackbots?

I was thinking about doing this after I finished my Jak and Daxter tribute series. Of course, out of respect I won't.

One legitamit comment/suggestion. Time the music with the action of the levels. More action = heavier music.
Of course I'm sure you already thought of that.

Yeah, in the first level, theres going to be the main gameplay section, where you can select either Coheed or Cambria, but you can go to the right and see the story of it. I've got a lot of the char models done for that. As for the music, I plan to have Here We Are Juggernaut as the training level music, and for the intro mural, i'm going to use One. I can't really compose music though.

As for the sackbots, its going to be a top down game (sans the intro) , but what I'd like to do, is have a AI take over the other character if only one player does the level. I'm not skilled enough to program it though.

The arm cannon, I'm sad to say while usable, it can be seen on Coheeds arm all the time. I can't think of a way to have it retract or appear and disappear.

EDIT: And feel free to do a side scrolling level of Amory Wars. I'm sure I'd love to play it.
