Echoes of Erebus 1 (Based on the 3rd book in the Lifehack series)

In the wake of the disasters spreading walking death through the cities of Autar and Meston, (Ha, spoilers of my first novel, Lifehack, and... well.. not so spoilerey for my lbp1 levels I guess) development on nanite technology was outlawed.

Sarah was unaware of any of it. She woke up as usual in the city of Autar, ready to go to work as a bike courier, when she found a walking corpse in her kitchen.

This begins Sarah's search for answers she never knew she needed. she thought she was 22, she thought she was in Autar, and she thought she was human.

It will likely be another long series, retelling one of my novels in an LBP kind of way.

Yes, there are zombies, yes, I know there's a ton of zombie levels out there, but hopefully mine manages to be it's own creature. There's no guns, (Sarah never gets a gun in the book) so be ready to avoid. In fact, the first level kills of a good handful of zombies, but only the first one is killed by the player. I also have fun with some general LBP kind of obstacles, sacrificing a bit of realism in the sake of fun.

I made all the music in the level myself, (it may not be amazing, but I think it does a good job) At any rate, I make levels hoping people enjoy em, and as I keep making em, the story will unfold. This level marks some pretty big steps for Sarah.

at the risk of sounding spammy, locknar, if you go to .. (hmm.. link hunt...) https://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/ozero yeah, here's where I like to sell the ebooks through, and they encourage half the book being put up free.. which, hey, cool. All 3 of my books are there. I still have a preference to the paper versions, with their glossy covers and prettier internal formatting, but the ebook pricing (as well as delivery time) is hard to argue too hard with. This month has actuallybeen pretty good for me, publicity wise. A podcast radio put out an interview with me on valentines day, a text interveiw came out, and I found a youtube vid that someone mad that had a chunk of a vid interview I did. so... my ego's pretty up there right now.

On topic- the level's been tuned up a little, in that I refined the wordier sections to flow as I like em to, (pressing circle to continue when the players wants, not when the sequencer decides it) and a number of fine tunings..

I messed with, but ultimately ditched the idea of using a bot to enforce the player to 'dress in costume'. There's a short swimming section, and a small grapple section, so.... Heck, I even was willing ot take those sections out, or change them, but when I looked into combining my deathless teleports and controlinator controlled sackbots.. well, it would have made for a jarring experience.. so to heck with it. Dress up or don't. The jerkman is watching.

currently I'm developing (slowwwly due to free time) a new level about Regan from Lifehack. It's a bit of a spoiler for the 'canon' lifehack story.. a bit.. but Regan's a ton of fun, so I gave her some new problems to shoot at. But it's zombie free!

excuse to bump: I retuned the talking mouths a bit since the lasy post, yay.

Oh, and I'm getting painfully close to finishing "Regan vs Pirates", which is turning out a bit on the funny side. Regan likes to mouth off. I don't get nearly as much time as I'd like to work in LBP, but that's life, I guess.
