The Fantasy is Relived. -Tagline This is a new thread on an old thing I have been working on since July 2010. A new Final Fantasy... to return the series to it's roots... the good times. http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=29311 Note: l'cie is at the moment in question of being exchanged for another concept. Before the dawn of time and the beginnings of space, there was The Void, a huge abyss of everlasting chaos and destruction. The only form of life was a god... only known as Divine Creator. He was The Void's only master and power. The Creator over the millenia grew tired of this chaos, so with his power, he split away his body, soul and mind to form the Light Cosmos (soul, Mother Crystal), the Shadow Rift (body, Zaron) and the Zero Realm (mind, possible superboss ). Essencially this was the 'Big Bang' of the story. MC was pure and was one who lived on peace and love. Zaron was of darkness and destruction and fed on hatred and strife. As for the mind... its fate was fallen into myth. Zaron being evil tries to attack the light, but because he is powerless outside the Rift he instead spread his influence to a boy who has lived in oppresion in ancient Solaria. The boy was given the mark of a dark l'cie (Jet ), granting him shadow magic and forbideen powers. The boy was then named Lacerus. With this power, he grew into the most feared Shadow Archwizard in all of Solaria. To complete his focus (to destroy MC and bring total chaos), he mindlessly began a conquest of Solaria, killing all people and blew up every village he could find, to wipe out MC's lifesource, love, and to find the way to it himself. He is at first a mindless slave as he was before, but then he began to grow plots of enslaving humanity as they have done to him. As MC began to fade away, the three Crystal Sages, Charon, (name), and (name) entrusted to a Solarian warrior the Crystal Spells Alpha (moderate damage and random status effects, similar to Grand Cross), Beta (heals everything fully), Gamma (deals damage based on status), and the power of light (His Limit Breaks Heaven Strike and Triad Destroy). His name was Virtuus, l'cie guardian of light. Using these, he hunted down Lacerus and sealed away him into a space between dimensions (Zero Realm). But as a result, Virtuus himself, fufilled his focus, locking him into Crystal Stasis. The powers of the crystals were taken back by the sages. As the death stopped, many people began to rebuild the kingdom, love returning. But they have not heard the last of the Dark Lord. In the Zero Realm, Lacerus was waiting for his chance to break his shackles. Current (*cough* active *cough* and/or contributed *cough*) crew: Me, pretty much the director a_mailbox, logical person Shadowcrazy, remote voice actor/costumist XFennoX, design Asbestos101, music composer #1 Now, I still need- -More music composers -Monster Design -Conceptual artist -Story editors (so I can make sure the story isn't cliqued) -Voice actors -Someone good at making trailers and/or videos when we need it -Creative people -Overall awesome creators - True FF fans who know what makes FF the RPG it is -etc, etc, etc... Now, I have a new, STRICTER policy now, so bear with me! 1- You must be moderately, if not VERY, active on the forums. (As in, don't take 1 week breaks between log ins.) I need active participation in this and not being active does NOT help. 2- You have to at least like Final Fantasy. I don't want to see "Ohh, I like blah blah blah RPG and h8 FF but I'll do this for fun"... no. This is an FF fan project and will be so. I want people who know what makes FF best. 3- You have to be at least somewhat active on PSN. As in, I want some form of work done when I can't come on! 4- Obviously, you need to be a COMPLETE EXPERT at your particular job. I don't want a bad looking Gilgamesh or something. 5- You have to be devoted to this. Not saying you can't be in multiple projects... but please I need good contributions! So please, I just ask for any help that can get to me. It's been very slow and not many a sackperson wishes to help... at least not many of the very very helpful ones (no offense... I just need work made!) Make this game dream... a reality. ...or at least give feedback on the story!

Just so you know: The OS battle system is not even close to completion. Its VERY large, and VERY "open". The thermo is managable ( ) but the wireing and what not TAKES SOOOO MUCH TIME. I have 2 out of 16 submenus done. You won't need that much, but its a good start off point! 183 actions (+ limits) FTW!

I'll compose some music for ya man. Don't be scared by my activity on lbpcentral, it's just like that cause I didn;t go on until lbp2 came out. My psn is deluxejames. I'll msg me here or on psn(psn would be better) on what music you would want. Like style, tempo, mood, and where it would be so i could make it perfect. i'm researching FF type music right now. Much use of the strings and brass section, with orchestra roots, with some rock. i know how to make these and much more. That type FF music is shown in The Black Mages: Clash on the Big bridge (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCHD5Qudqc0) from Final Fantasy V

NOTE: finished attks, menu, limit, and atb parts of the OS system. I just need to find the HP & MP that are in one of my levels, and i'll be done! Specialification (ie: MP minimums, Damage mediums, and actually effects) will need to be done after the fact! This will be the most logic inducing creation that i am aware of in lbp2! PS: the Thermo that is dignified is the MAX. Most of the things in the system will be deleted. Thus the thermo will be more managable!

I'm quite a fan of Final Fantasy myself, although I'm not quite sure how I'd be able to contribute to this All I know is that I'll be keeping watch on this one.
