Hello all! Partially in an attempt to enter the lbp-galaxy contest, and partially due to the fact that I need some time away from my other projects, I've decided to make something completely different. My next project, tentatively titled Pinball Tower is pinball with a time traveling, planet scouring, tower climbing twist. You begin on a pinball table themed as an old castle, and must score a certain number of points and complete a few objectives on this pinball table before you can move up to the next level. Once you do, a new slot opens up, and landing the ball into it launches it up to the next level. Once up there, you must quickly complete a short objective to close off the bottom so you don't fall back down. That is the basis of most of the stages in this pinball game. Reach a score, complete a few objectives, fire upwards, and close off the bottom. Right now, I'm focusing on perfecting some logic for the launcher and flippers (more complicated than you'd expect. I'm still only on the first level (the castle) but I have thought about what the next stages are likely to be: 1. Castle 2. Jungle 3. Egypt 4. Old Hollywood movie (meant to represent some time in the early 1900's) 5. Metropolitan city 6. Space station 7. Deep space I'm hoping that each stage has a small but visible "story" to it. For instance, in the castle stage, there is going to be to old kingdoms at war, and you'r objective is to take down the evil one. Simple, but it will allow me to better structure my stages. I'm looking for any comments, input, initial thoughts, immediate concerns/compliments, stage ideas, and anything that the community has to say. I'm expecting to spend a long time on this, and I'm dedicated to this project, as I'm ready to finally prove myself to the community. I have had many projects that would have been phenomenal if I had just put the time into them, but I tend to get distracted by a new idea and never finish the first one. So, I'm willing to give my all to this one, and I hope the community is willing to give me feedback and criticism on it. Thank you!
