Controlinator Individual Up/Down Left/Right
Archive: 4 posts
Ok. I don't understand this. Is there a way to assign each direction of the analogue, or directional buttons individually, so that the up button will do something without triggering the down button at the same time? I don't want to give away too much on what I'm making, but I need to control 4 corners individually preferably with the directional buttons. I can only see the right stick/arrow and the down stick/arrow with any output on the controlinator. Im sure that this is possible, I know it must be. You see, this is the thing I don't like about LBP2. The simple stuff seems to be more complex than the complex stuff! | 2011-02-22 19:42:00 Author: Mr_T-Shirt Posts: 1477 |

It's very simple to hook up the analog stick to an advanced mover to create an object that moves freely in any direction... What you want is a direction splitter. Those outputs from the analog stick and D-pad can be either positive (for up or right) or negative (for down or left). Some devices can use the sign (positive/negative) of the signal to do different things, and so having the axis as a single signal is often very convenient. But if you do want to separate out left and right into separate signals, use a direction splitter - the positive output of the splitter will be active if the stick is pushed to the right, and the negative output will be active if the stick is pushed to the left. | 2011-02-22 19:50:00 Author: tetsujin Posts: 187 |
W What you want is a direction splitter. Thanks, I just figured this out by myself before reading this too! I haven't looked much at the all the logic, and this is my first project using it. XD I'm so silly. Next time, i'll look a little harder before posting in this section. Mod, lock it up please. | 2011-02-22 19:53:00 Author: Mr_T-Shirt Posts: 1477 |
