Things you hate or find irritating in LittleBigPlanet2.

I got 3 right now. -When you're Creating with someone else as the Host & you're making an awesome ship or whatever & they blow it up without Re-Winding or Copy it without asking your permission & show it off to their friends & they Copy it & eventually the Community claims it as their own. -When you join a random match & the first thing that the host or other people "have" to do is try & smack you & they continue to do this throughout the level & think it's "funny." When I'm the Host & they do that, I kick them out, because I have no tolerance for stupid things like that. -And lastly, I hate when right after a level you joined in & the game ends, the Host takes you to their levels & force you to play them & I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but most of them are just horribly made. As soon as I see them go to their Planet & pick a level, I leave. So, this thread's topic is about stuff you hate or find irritable in LBP2. | 2011-02-22 04:33:00 Author: IronSkullKid99 Posts: 515 |
This kind of topic is never a good idea as it brings out hate out of people (Duh) i like talking about things that make me and others happy, as hate will only make people mad and make their day not as enjoyable even if just a little *mew | 2011-02-22 04:53:00 Author: Lord-Dreamerz Posts: 4261 |
I hate when people make hate Threads :/ especially when it's about lbp. | 2011-02-22 05:13:00 Author: Ghost Posts: 114 |
well I really cant think of anything myself I love this game to bits, the only problem i have with it is that it screwed up my sleeping pattern but its no fault of the game itself so instead of things I find irritating about LBP, since for me there isn't any I'l just respond to your list in no particular order: Yes it is annoying to get slapped as soon as you join someone, but my guess those people are probably young children who would find that sort of thing fun, or maybe they are doing it to get a pin, I can see how a host dragging you to their level could get on your nerves, they should at least ask you first, If someone copies something you made it shouldn't it say originally by you under its description, and I do hate it or would hate it if it happens to me if the host destroyed something I was trying to make and didn't Undo it or copied it. but these things arnt really the fault of the game itself just some of the people who play it so you cant balme the game for these things, in other words: Hate the playa not the game | 2011-02-22 05:18:00 Author: Unknown User |
When people complain about every little thing, specially when its not the game's fault, but the other user's are the ones that cause it which Mm has no way of fixing, so its not really things you hate about the game, but the people you play the game with... | 2011-02-22 05:21:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
I got 3 right now. -When you're Creating with someone else as the Host & you're making an awesome ship or whatever & they blow it up without Re-Winding or Copy it without asking your permission & show it off to their friends & they Copy it & eventually the Community claims it as their own. <shrug> Personally I would never go into create mode with anybody (not seriously, I mean) unless I was prepared to trust 'em with things I create anyway. It seems to me that creating a good level takes quite a bit of time and effort, and to do that as a collaboration means you need to see eye-to-eye on certain creative matters, and you need to be with someone who will be willing to work with you over a fairly long period of time... I have, on a couple occasions, been brought into create mode by a multiplayer host, and we had some fun just dicking around - summoning various controllable sackbots and other community objects, blowing things up, etc. -When you join a random match & the first thing that the host or other people "have" to do is try & smack you & they continue to do this throughout the level & think it's "funny." When I'm the Host & they do that, I kick them out, because I have no tolerance for stupid things like that. Yeah, I hate that. Last time that happened I spent most of the session trying to kill that player. My favorite was the underwater level - I'd grab him and drag him underwater - drown him and then get some air. Still, yeah, it does get tiresome. -And lastly, I hate when right after a level you joined in & the game ends, the Host takes you to their levels & force you to play them & I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but most of them are just horribly made. As soon as I see them go to their Planet & pick a level, I leave. When it's junk levels, yeah, that's annoying. But you can leave when you like, or stick around and give the level the rating it deserves... In general - this is one of the few things a creator can do to get their level played. Given how hard it is to get a level recognized, I think it's justified. | 2011-02-22 18:27:00 Author: tetsujin Posts: 187 |
when I create some epic music and the host adds stuff to it and tweaks it, then captures it. The next day I play their level and my music is used in it >.< | 2011-02-22 18:58:00 Author: Alternative_sack Posts: 409 |
-When you're Creating with someone else as the Host & you're making an awesome ship or whatever & they blow it up without Re-Winding or Copy it without asking your permission & show it off to their friends & they Copy it & eventually the Community claims it as their own. That is pretty messed up, although if your creating something and they blow it up, either your not creating anything special or your an idiot for creating seriously with someone like that. -When you join a random match & the first thing that the host or other people "have" to do is try & smack you & they continue to do this throughout the level & think it's "funny." When I'm the Host & they do that, I kick them out, because I have no tolerance for stupid things like that. Well no one touch Mr. Grumpman, or he'll kick you out. No fun allowed in Mr. Grumpmans party! Seriously, slapping is part of the fun, you obviously have no sense of humor. My friend and I have wasted so much time in levels trying to make everything harder for the other, and we both laugh all the way. -And lastly, I hate when right after a level you joined in & the game ends, the Host takes you to their levels & force you to play them & I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but most of them are just horribly made. As soon as I see them go to their Planet & pick a level, I leave. So if someone wants you to play their level, you automatically leave? Is wanting someone to play your level and offense now? Just play the level, whyd you join some random party anyway if you hate slapping and play forcing? | 2011-02-22 21:52:00 Author: ATMLVE Posts: 1177 |
I feel really sad that someone has made this thread, sure LBP is not perfect but in my thinking these problems are partly you're own fault No: Only create online with people you trust with your creations otherwise refuse join requests No. 2, Someone behaves like that when playing with them, if you're the host kick them, if you're not the host then leave Simple, no need to hate on these things just because they are bothersome you can get around these problems and still enjoy LittleBigplanet to it's fullest | 2011-02-22 22:51:00 Author: Elsa Posts: 164 |
Pessimistic people....... | 2011-02-22 22:54:00 Author: Super_Clone Posts: 849 |
I hate when people rate your level down for no reason. At least explain yourself. Especially when the level is otherwise rated well. That just screams sour grapes to me. Better yet, I hate when people rate a level down and go "tht wuz cool b my frend plz." Nothing says that was cool be my friend like a downrate. It's kind of like "mhm come back when that frown turns upside down." Also, when people run around through a bunch of your levels leaving a massive P4P trail, it makes me want to throw up. I mean, ask politely, and I might play your level. Spamming isn't going to make me play anything. It's sort of like how playing the same commercial twice isn't going to make me want a product any more than the last time it was on. | 2011-02-23 06:10:00 Author: Shiro Posts: 108 |
Only 2 things bother me. First, the little "hop" that the sackboy does when he lands from really big jumps, especially when trying to land on a little bitty platform he'll just keep going in that little hop and fall right off to his death. Second, is that my level I spent 3 weeks creating got burried online in a matter of 10 seconds from the newest levels list, and it seems to be the same way on every LBP forum I join where you make posts promoting your level. I spent a lot of time going through peoples levels, and it just feels like as soon as I say anything about my own levels everyone else just comes up saying "oh look at mine" and i get pushed to the back of the crowd real quick. :/ Other than those two things, I love playing this game, and I especially love creating in it. Edit: Oh and btw, IronSkullKid99, I was one of those people that would make anyone that joined my pod play my levels for two reasons. 1) its VERY hard to get plays on my levels, and 2) nine out of ten people that I joined to and personally asked if they would play my level either ignored me or kicked me from their pod. So naturally, to get my 50 unique plays trophy I was forced to pull people into my levels (i stopped doing so once i got my 50 unique plays in though). | 2011-02-23 06:27:00 Author: BillyGalbreath Posts: 38 |
This thread is doing ok so far, but a few of the posts have been kind of ornery. Watch it If you disagree with another member, that's fine, and feel free to express your opinions politely and constructively, but please refrain from sarcastic comments, such as "I hate when people make these threads." Personally, I think if you're being bothered by what people do in create mode, you should probably be more selective of who you accept friend requests from and especially who you allow into create mode with you. Slapping can be irritating if it's overdone, but I find that it can also be amusing: I especially enjoy slapping people off a cliff into a fiery pit of doom And yeah, if I joined somebody and they tried to "force" me to play their levels, I would be irritated too (unless their level happened to be good)... but what do you expect when you're joining random people? | 2011-02-23 10:27:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |
Most of the O.P's gripes revolve around the behaviour of the players rather than the flaws of the game itself. Anyway, the things that irritate me about the game itself include the loading screen bug when playing online with other players. I`m surprised no one has mentioned that one yet. That loading bar just goes mental and it becomes a strobe light show. It isn't good for the eyes. Also, many other bugs from the beta still haven't been fixed yet. I`m more disappointed than irritated with that. | 2011-02-23 15:24:00 Author: D-E-S_87 Posts: 148 |

All of them were problems in LBP1 and is expected from a community of mostly kids. So far, the only thing annoying me is this magic mouth bug I keep getting which effectivly ruins me making my level for the rest of the day. | 2011-02-23 15:33:00 Author: kirbyman62 Posts: 1893 |
Coming from the CoD community this kind of thread brings back the memories. They weren't good ones, god no, but memories none the less. I wouldn't really say anything annoys me about LBP, it's relaxing, engrossing and well polished. All the problems I have are to do with people and you can't ask a game to change them now can you. ): | 2011-02-23 15:48:00 Author: JonnysToyRobot Posts: 324 |

i question this sort of post. | 2011-02-23 18:38:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |
Only 2 things bother me. I found a 3rd thing.. The music sequencer just plain sucks. I'm not a pro or anything at music creation, but I was in the high school marching band (drum corps ftw!) and I have dabbled around with programs such as FruityLoops, and this built in LBP Music Sequencer is just plain lacking in soooo many aspects. I cannot change the time signature for one, which prevents me from 3/4 or 5/4 timings (which are VERY popular). The tempo/beat setting is WAY off, and I end up having to max out all my songs to 200+ bmp just to get it to sound "right" at a real life 120 bmp (marching/techno tempo). Because of the limit is speed and timing signatures I am unable to do triples on any size; to do triples I would have to slow it all down to get the extra dots for the perfect spacings, but then my songs would be uber slow since I play lots of 16th and 32nd notes. You are unable to sustain notes in most of the provided instruments, when in real life you would be able to; piano is the perfect example here.. Speaking of provided instruments, its lacking just about every basic instrument I can think of, and I am sorely limited on my music creation because of this. I need brass and woodwinds to set moods in the game, much like they set moods in movies. I cant acheive the same thing with synth instruments without it sounding all techno/robotic/futuristic. And the memory... wow what a bugger. I end up maxing out my blue music sequencer thermometer within 15 seconds when I am trying to create a song closer to 4 minutes long. wth?!I hope to see some kind of enhancements done to this in the form of free patches to fix memory and timing/tempo issues, and even paid DLC packs for more instruments. | 2011-02-23 22:14:00 Author: BillyGalbreath Posts: 38 |
Its kinda sad how sackbots cant use grappling hooks and they cant rock their head side to side, and die from water in a level -.-". I mean, i can see how their robots, but, there should be an option if they look like actual sackpeople. Its also kinda annoying when you dont have a keyboard/chatpad and you cant text chat during movies/cutscenes. | 2011-02-24 00:55:00 Author: m4tr1x35 Posts: 50 |
Some of those sort of things should be more of posted in a suggestions thread for LBP2 not in thing that you hate and are annoyed about in LBP2 Can we please just let this thread die down We really don't need threads like this | 2011-02-24 01:03:00 Author: Elsa Posts: 164 |
lol! I can't believe the significant number of people who actually got offended from this thread. The OP's gripes with the game are reasonable. Sure, most of the problems have to do w/ the community, but the community does make the game. Sure you can play with your friends, but your friends are not always going to be on at the same time as you or you may want to play a different map type, so in a way, pairing up w/ randoms is the only way to go sometimes. Most of you seem to LOVE this game too much to not discuss the annoying/negative things that go on in it. No game is perfect enough not to talk about these things, and this game is no exception. Anyway, continuing on w/ the topic: I hate the long loading times when trying to join community levels. I hate the slight pause of lag you get when someone asks to join your game. I hate the ask to join random game feature, because people just reject you or just let it timeout, wasting a significant amount of time. | 2011-02-24 01:55:00 Author: Unknown User |
Like I already said there's a suggestions sections for problems in LBP2 so rather than being negative and sorry to take an example but rather than saying the loading time for playing community levels is annoying you could post something in the suggestions thread like "Community Level Loading Times, this should be improved because it takes so long to load a level it would be much better if they worked faster" that way the problem doesn't come across with hate and is a more positive suggestion for the game to take. There is no need for hate and that is why peopel are against this thread there is a suggestions thread for things you want improved as I said, no need to hate on them | 2011-02-24 02:11:00 Author: Elsa Posts: 164 |
