Amazing. Not the prettiest level, but a perfect blend of gameplay and story (in my eyes anyway). There's no way anyone can play through this and not smile. Go play!

Hey, I just played this...great recommendaion. Loved the end of this level...really fantastic work controlling the actors. It's got one section in the middle that's kinda dull and feels out of place but other than that short section the game play is clever and enjoyable.2011-02-22 04:30:00

I wouldn't say amazing. o_o
A few bugs and what not.
Rather surprised at the reviews.
Boy am I getting sick of unskippable cutscenes. (yes that switch destroys that brick, I can see that, it's right next to me in plain sight!)
My chicken creatinator is way better btw.

Aint I a stinker?

Heh. Well I guess it depends on what you look for. I don't get too hung up on any bugs (unless its a level breaker) or rough aesthetics if the level experience as a whole transcends them and I absolutely loved this one, regardless of any rough edges.

I played and hearted this a couple of days ago. As you say, the level experience over all is a great one - though how you can say you played it and smiled, I don't know. My reaction was "Nooooooooo!!! Chiiickkkeeeennn!" *sniff*2011-02-23 14:23:00

This level is such a pleasant surprise. The level design and use of sound is great, the chicken makes a great sidekick and second playable character, and the ending is surprisingly emotional with no words said. Definitely play it if you haven't already.2011-03-02 13:57:00

Totally agree with you. I also played this level because of this recommendation a few days back and thought it was incredible. Fun gameplay with some very creative sections ("flying" with the chicken), and a nice little story with entertaining cutscenes. My girlfriend was actually really sad about the end! The part where you play the chicken was also a cool unexpected surprise and reminded me of the Clank sections of Ratchet and Clank.

I heard someone else talking bad about the visuals and I just don't get it. I thought they were perfect. They were clean and clear with a nice colorful, cartoony look. A bit like a nice animated movie. More importantly, everything was consistent and matched the overall feel while still containing some nice variety in the different areas. Also, the visuals served the gameplay perfectly. There were never any gameplay elements or paths that were obscured by too much scenery, which is sometimes the case.

Sometimes I think people get too obsessed over visuals in general. I've played some beautiful levels that were brought down by frustrating mechanics. Not everyone is a great artist, but that doesn't mean they can't make a fun level (and yes, I may be talking about myself a bit ).
