how do i make the randomize activate 2 things at once?
Archive: 8 posts
i have a mini game im building with random columns that will come crashing down on your head. problem is you need a way to kinda tell that its coming. So i put a light at the bottom of the columns that crush you. So my problem is this...I have the columns hooked up to a randomizer but i need the randomizer to activate a random column AND its corresponding light. But i cant figure out how to make it work for the life of me. Tried directional splitter and its a nogo. PLZ HELP | 2011-02-21 04:08:00 Author: zodicus Posts: 2 |
Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but can't you just put the output on the randomiser to both the column and the light. One output per column/light combination. | 2011-02-21 04:20:00 Author: SSTAGG1 Posts: 1136 |

Well you could do that, but that would activate the coloumn and the light in a random sequence and not together. | 2011-02-21 04:46:00 Author: Unknown User |
Hook the randomizer to a circuit node, and then hook the node to the things you want to activate. | 2011-02-21 05:03:00 Author: Loius Posts: 342 |

What I meant by the 'one output per combination' was the circuit node, I forgot the name of it at the time. My post was worded very poorly, must have been eating when I wrote it. | 2011-02-21 07:47:00 Author: SSTAGG1 Posts: 1136 |
ok so if im understanding this correctly you guys are saying (randomizer -> node ->light and column) So the randomizer will select the NODES at random which in turn activates both outputs i connect to it? If so thats AMAZING! thats exactly what im looking for. Next question, Ive made a few nodes on ACCIDENT how do i make one on purpose? | 2011-02-21 14:59:00 Author: zodicus Posts: 2 |
To make node point your wire to microchip and press X. | 2011-02-21 15:15:00 Author: waD_Delma Posts: 282 |

As someone who has been using circuit nodes only to organize circuit lines, I would have come up with something more complex to do the same job. I am happy I just learned the versatility of circuit nodes! Next question, Ive made a few nodes on ACCIDENT how do i make one on purpose? Pick up a wire from a logic object's output and instead of connecting it to another object, click on the circuit board's open space. | 2011-02-21 15:16:00 Author: Antikris Posts: 1340 |
