Hi everyone dont let the name of the thread confuse you im just going to ask the community a simple question. So me and some of my friend in LBPC were talking in twitter so I came up with a simple question and Im hopeing to hear people responses, anyways the question is Do you talk to your friend or co-workers about LBP in general? Is a very simple question and here is my answer. All of my friends in school play black ops and thats not strange and all of the have xbox 360 they even tried to talk to me about coming to the xbox side but I love the PS3 too much. They all talk about black ops and the best kill which is nice sometimes but get a little old.....I wish I had someone to talk to about logic and making an awesome level but there no one I know like that except for you guys that are awesome! XD So what about you guys?

I have one friend with the PS3 version. That's it. And he's more likely to be on Black Ops too. Gaming these days tends to boil down to the lowest common denominator.

Yeah XD with my lil brother and sister, basicly thats it, we dont talk about logic..I mean come on there like 10, i dont wanna give em a nose bleed making them think to hard..But I do get alot of Imspiration from them... True story... Nano (a sackbot I came up with for a level) I actually came up with him inspired on my brother, one day my lil bro randomly tells me about how he dreamed about our Older brother..who passed away, and I kinda had the idea to..idk make a brother out of a robot, not in a way to replace of course but you know. XD its kind of a funny story I know..but I do wish nano was real XD thatd be pretty awesome and me and my lil bro sometimes talk about what would be like if he actually exised ...makes me cry sometimes..but yeah hehe, so yeah..... .....im talking to much again..*hides*

I have exactly ONE real life friend who plays LBP2. And... let's just say they're not the best. Most of my friends have an xbox 360 and are addicted to games like black ops. I don't mind that too much because I do like to play black ops every now and then, but I'm sad I can't talk "logic" with anyone. I think what makes up for it is that the "LBP Community" itself is amazing. There's just nothing like it! Black Ops community is like, "MAN I PWN U ALL DAY BABY! PRESTIGE TO THE MAX!"

Does anyone else have that one really good friend that like, loves LBP, but doesn't own it and always says they're gunna buy it but never does? because that's the case with at least 3 of my friends, but yes, they do play CoD anyways, too bad LBP is only for PS3, if it went to Xbox then maybe we could start to get people away from mind controlling CoD, and get them to do more Playing, Creating, and Sharing, instead of just Prestiging.

My friends are CODs (Call of Dorks), Pokemon freaks, or retro gamers (the only ones I can tolerate for hours at a time). They all love their 360s 'til death do they part, so LBP is out of the question. They all shun me and look down on me for choosing a PS3 over a 360... annoying, right? Then again, I don't get Red Ring'd.

About 95% of the people who play video games, always play FPS's (Mainly COD) and Guitar Hero type games, and most of them are on 360. So it does get rather annoying when people talk about video games it's ' Whats your prestige, what's your best kill, yeah I totally owned this one guy with the epic toma kill' (I cleaned all the swear words out, so it cut out about 50% of it) The other 5% are me and my friends and the other rare occasions, who play more than just FPS's. Then out of that, there's only me and one of my friends (That I know of ) that play LBP/LBP2. All my friends have XBox360. I'm okay with talking about CoD once in a while, but I just hate it when they tell me to switch to XBox360. There's a reason I chose PS3, dang it. It was to upgrade, not downgrade. >_<

lol dont know if that is 100% true, but from my perspective...it sure is. The Xbox didn't have it's 'masterkey' retweeted to everyone on Twitter by Sony THEMSELVES!!! The Xbox will always be more infinitely secure because Hackers don't have the consoles Masterkey. Now that the hackers have the PS3 masterkey they can get away with almost anything. Try playing MW2 on PS3, it's literally unplayable. It cannot be patched either because the Hackers have the key and can just hack again. I wouldn't even surprised if the hackers that are banned from PSN as a result of there nefarious work can un-ban themselves from PSN. Face it, Sony really dropped the ball with this. The PS3 has been hacked to all heck, and their is no moderation of any kind on PSN. ON TOPIC: I generally only play my PS3 for it's exclusives (LBP, Uncharted, Killzone etc.) and use my 360 for the rest of the games. Suffice to say my friends play only 360. A number of my friends think LBP is totally awesome however, and would get it if they had a PS3. But...I generally prefer the 360 a long with my friends. The Interface is much easier and faster to navigate the 360 than the PS3. I don't need to sync my Achievements to Xbox LIVE it's all done automatically. Unlike the PS3. The Xbox always had Cross Game Chat and the PS3 still hasn't gotten it. The only reason I have a PS3 is for it's exclusives.

Xbox is well known for being hacked beyond repair. All of my friends who have Xbox are always complaining about how many people use hacks and mods CoD. There is no big security feature built into the Xbox 360. So the hackers flocked there. Since the PS3 was so secured that it was believed unhackable, of course someone was going to take that challenge. How would they not? PS3 was the first console with real security features, which the hackers weren't used to, so to avoid hassle everyone who was cracking games, modding, ect, just went over to Xbox. Even if the Ps3 is hackable now, I doubt we'll an influx of mods or hacks. Why would they leave to open-to-any-hack console for the console where it's a pain just to open the "security door"?

All my friends in my class plays PS3 (mostly CoD or other FPS), well there's 2 that's playing Xbox360. 1 of my friends plays LBP2 and well, he's a trophy whore and loves to spam me with invites (deleted him now though). I wish I could talk LBP with IRL friends. ;_; At some point there was actually 5 people playing LBP1 in my class though it died quickly as they don't know how to create.

I've discussed LBP with people before, but normally they don't have a clue what the game is and start bringing up COD. Only one person I know I can discuss LBP with because they play it, but I don't do it often. Simply because they're not a big fan of it like me. They just play it, 'tis all.

Yeah uh...My (very few) IRL friends don't play games. None of the kids at my old middle school were gamers...Not even the boys! All they would ever do is gossip about things like boyfriends and girlfriends and the new cellphone they just got and who's going out with who...And they were only in 6th grade! I mean really, that's ridiculous...I've got one friend who plays video games every so often, but she's only got a Wii (but would like a PS3 and LBP), I don't see her often.

Not enough people "respect" the game. Mainly because LBP is a game that you really have to put time into to get thrills out of, whereas any of the COD series, for example, offer instant fast paced gameplay and thrills, as soon as you start game, which overall, are more likely to leave a lasting impression, and lead to more conversation topics.

My 3 best friends: One has only a Super-Nintendo; Another has a super-strong PC where he plays Bad Company 2; And the other one doesn't play anything. There are hmmm 5 people I know IRL who have a PS3. Only one of them has LBP. And he said he made an Xbox360 hate level. FML. Btw, I only had 1 girl in my class that was interested in any games. She said that she wanted to own Rock Band. But she moved.

Friends? I don't recognize the word Most people I know only have an Xbox 360 and the few who have PS3 play other games like AC Brotherhood, Modern Warfare 2 or Black Ops... A few got LBP 2 but they do not really play it... I wish Jonaolst would move to a closer area, at least then I got ONE LBPer in my vicinity. My Freinds and family keep warning me to stop going on about LBP - as it doesn't matter what I'm doing, I can think of a way it could be translated into LBP. They tell me to shut up - until I mention something that they find interesting/amusing - and then all of a sudden they want a shot on LBP I think most people can't see past the cutesy graphics to the awesome power of the game underneath it.

man, my story is the same. My daughter plays LBP with me but she is into everything, cheerleading, sports, 4-h etc. and has little time. My dad is in another state and plays mostly Gran Turismo, My brother is 3 hrs. away and is mostly on black ops (ps3). My co-workers scoff at gaming so yeah there's no one to talk to about the awesomeness of LBP. I have a friend who is like that with not just LBP but a few other games too. They'll really want a certain game, but never buys it until months later. It's a pain because that person is the only person on my PSN list who has a few games I play a lot, but because they don't own the newer ones I either have to go play LBP1 or just wait for them. Normally it's the latter.

I see interest in games the same way as I see interest in movies. Some people are film buffs - they go on and on about this actor, that director - the potent symbolism, the underlying metaphors etc yada yada. No-one thinks watching a movie is something lame or geeky and to be scoffed at. Yet they spend alot more money on making a game as entertaining as possible than they do on a film. Which is why you'll get alot more entertainment and enjoyment out of them. People who dismiss games out of hand without having played them first are just being closed minded. The games industry is the biggest entertainment medium there is - bigger than movies, books, magazines, newspapers or television. And yet it is still seen as "the outsider"? I think part of the problem is people still seeing games as "something for children" - just because some games are targeted at children. But you wouldn't consider the entire movie industry to be "childish" just because they make films like Toy Story (which many adults also enjoy)?

I know a hell of a lot of people who I play games on the PS3 with but only two of them own LBP2 and of them only one plays it, like once every week. Then you've got me who goes all Smeagle over it. It would be great if there was someone who I could talk to about stuff I've been doing/ ideas I've had in a really nerdy way but eh... wacha gonna do.

I have exactly one friend I know of who plays LBP2 but the only problem is... Well he's the sort of guy who thinks that using a collected car from another level run into a building (probably also collected) and blow it up is pretty amazing. Oh, and he thinks bomb and shark survivals are awesome and searching left for dead will find him good levels. Anyone else have friends like that?
