I havent aced all, but Canyons or wilderness. Wilderness was tough but fun at the same time, unlike canyons.2008-11-21 04:16:00

The canyons. Oh man, those impact explosives gave me such a hard time!! I found myself getting impatient with the jetpack+impact mine sections near the end. The 3 rocks that go up and down when your trying to carry a mine to the other side was the hardest part for me... The collector = no problem // 3 bobbing rocks = eye gouging ?? u_u2008-11-21 04:21:00

Probably the wilderness, spent the most time on it
but it wasn't that difficult at all ..

There were 3-4-5 levels I had quite some problems with and all those level was equally difficult. Serpent shrine, sensei's palace was two of them.2008-11-21 19:47:00

For me it was the canyons. The others I didn't find as hard, just annoying when you die and you have to go through the whooole level again, especially the second level of The Islands with the spinning things.2008-11-21 22:26:00

Wlderness.

Canyons aren't that hard, guys. It only took me two tries to ace Boom Town, 4 for the Mines, and 1 for the Serpent Shrine.

I still haven't aced them all, but either Wilderness or Islands.

Although I actually managed to ace a Wilderness level (Frozen Tundra). I just don't feel like doing Terrible Oni's Volcano... guess I should though.

Only real trouble with that is being too impatient at the boss. I would end up pulling the switch for too long, and that resulted in getting killed by a flaming rock.

For me:

1) Wilderness - The Bunker tripped me up, but I only messed up at the final wheel two or three times. It was getting to that part without dying that sucked for some reason.
2) Canyons - jetpack + explosives + rocks = I don't like this very much.

Ehh, I didn't really have much trouble acing any levels, honestly. I guess maybe The Bunker, but that wasn't so bad..2008-11-22 00:52:00

Boom Town? Ugh... This level took me the longest time to ace. Those bombs are way too sensitive.

The Bunker? Very difficult to stay alive. Took many tries.

However, my vote still goes to the Islands.

The first level alone had me pulling my hair out with those unreliable wooden planks that you have to run across. The second level becomes annoying the the many tricky and time consuming platforming things, only to throw a boss at you at the end. Finally, the last level is annoying to me in many ways. It takes a while to get the flying machine to go where you want it to, the hard to time jump near the end of the second building, and finally another boss that is easy to die while facing.

The rest of the levels didn't really give me many problems.

I did the bunker by accident.

I'm gonna have to say this gets awarded to the Canyons.

The reason it's the Canyons is because it's a very drastic pacing change from the rest. In the other preceding levels, you can essentially run through it as fast as you can go, and you simply have to wait for the opening to jump through a gap or an enemy to go the other direction, so a few seconds before you move on. Otherwise, it's pretty much full-speed.

With the Canyons, that changes. Here, there is more emphasis on caution and precision over speed. Explosives are a big part of this. Entering Boom Town, there are places where you specifically have to wait. By the cactus, you have to wait for the center platform to bend the right way before you take your flying leap. Going up the cliffs, you have to stand back and wait for the fiery balls of death to roll by. If you rush it, you are greeted with a swift return to the previous checkpoint by the explosives going off. Then comes the big challenge, the contact explosives.

With the jetpack on, your pacing will tell you to just go for it, full-speed, and slow down just a bit for the tight part. Which means you rub up against some hard objects, and you get a quick return to the last checkpoint. Passing this first one, spikes enter the picture. Here the adrenaline starts coming in full force, and your first reaction is to quickly dash between them before they come down again. Big mistake. You overshoot, the explosive swings wide, and Boom. Town. Instead, it requires careful control, deliberate movement, and patience. You have to slow down.

With the Mines, this is less so, as you still can run it for the most part, but there is still a demand for precision, and for example you can't rush the explosives.

Finally, the Snake Temple requires much more deliberation and planning, as jumping the wrong time means a quick death. The boss also requires anticipation of the incoming instant-death, and you have to plan out the entire course of when to move and how much.

Essentially, the Canyons rewires you. And in acing it, it forces greater skill on you. Which is why it's so difficult, because it requires a steeper ramp-up than the other levels. (In acing the Snake Temple, I suddenly noticed that my jumping precision was much greater than it had been previously.)

Meanwhile, the Wilderness isn't as drastic as a change. It's in essence the same as the previous levels. It simply has tighter tolerances for error and there's more of it, so you have to do it all right, first time or else, with one bummed jump potentially screwing up the level for you. These are skills that you acquire through acing the others, so by the time you get to it, your skill is closer to it, than your skill by the time you reach the Canyons.

So side-by-side, they're both difficult in their own ways, and the Wilderness wins out by sheer precision required. But the Canyons are harder because of when you reach them.

Like seriously, you could make a new account, make it something really random like "The_Squirrel98" And by the looks of your posts, I would know it is you in disguise... Wow that was a mouthful.

But anyways, I'll be honest, I aced Boom Town first try, I guess I got pretty lucky, as for Snake Temple or whatever it's called. It took me a lot of tries, I was really impatient, and I remember getting stuck under those things that give you a quick boost in the air, at least twice so I had to kill myself, it was a pain...

I'd say the Bunker or the islands.
The worst thing to ace was probably the gaint hamster wheel in the bunker, always died there.
And i remember the first time I did the islands, always tried to JUMP over those wooden sticks >.<
Did that for ages until I found out you could actually walk on them...that was my biggest fail in LBP history....

The Canyons were pretty easy in my opinion...
Only really struggled with the wilderness, particularly on the stupid bunker -.-
