Hazzmax Shuffleboard

Archive: 9 posts

Hey everyone!

Some of my friends recently introduced me to table-shuffleboard and I was instantly hooked. After getting my hands LBP2 and seeing all of the awesome new features they added to the level building, a Shuffleboard Vs. level seemed like a perfect first project! I think I've gotten most of the bugs ironed out, but would love any feedback to help get it as polished and fun as possible. Enjoy!

Sounds interesting. Not the biggest fan of shuffleboard, but I'll give it a go tonight.

So turns out still don't like shuffleboard.
It's a well-made level and I had some fun playing with a friend, but not exactly my cup of tea.
My only suggestion would be to add some music and maybe give the level a distinct theme. It's a bit boring and could use some more liveliness.

I played it with a friend, looks like we suck at this game hahahahaha;

I would suggest to put some music and add a button to forfeit the last launch (we had to wait a lot of thime for some bad throws); other than that, the controls were flawless and I didn't get any bug. Maybe you could improve the visuals by adding something in the background and putting the board vertically (it would impreove the aim a lot, I think)

This is like a chess game level: it's hard to find people who truly enjoy it, but I congratulate you for its execution

That bit always bugged me as well. I couldn't figure out a way to monitor the speed of a puck, so if it stays on the board, it defaults to a standard 10 second turn. Luckilly, I just found this thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=48824-LOGIC-TOOLS-Speed-Sensor-Signal-Change-Sensor) from a creator who has apparently figured it out, and made a level demonstrating! I'll be adding that in as soon as I finish with all my F4F queue. Thanks for playing!

Wow, nicely done... It looks like a real shuffleboard, and plays well. I only got to play single player, but I think I'll try multiplayer when my kid gets home.
The only suggestion that I can really offer is to put some instructions in that lets they player know that the longer they hold X the faster the slide will be. It took me a few tries to figure it out, I tend to tap my buttons. But visually it looks great, and plays really well.

I?m all moved into my new digs and back online again! Thanks for leaving feedback on my Ka-Boom Basketball level. I?m sorry it took so long for me to get back at you. I?m always open to open to F4F. If you ever need someone to give your level a quick test before you go live, hit me up.

Feedback 4 Feedback

Pluses: Love me some shuffleboard! I would kill to have a full on sandy shuffleboard in my basement! Good job on the disks and board. Very nicely done, especially for your first level.
Minuses: Camera view left me hanging at the end several times.
Suggestions: When the puck falls off, leave it where it lies. I might think about putting the shuffle board vertical instead of horizontal. A tad bit quicker game play if it's possible.
Playability: I played as one player, so I couldn?t? get the full effect. Hit me up for a game!
