Why won't my sackbots grab?!!

I don't know why but I cannot get a controllinatored sackbot to grab. I mean it just won't work, not with grabbinator or with normal grab. Do I need to make the R1 trigger something to make it work? Currently there is nothing I set on my R1 button so I can maybe see that as being my problem. Anyway if anyone knows the solution please give me the answer.2011-02-20 22:19:00

I'm not sure what you mean? is it a sackbot 'suit' that you control like regular play? If so he should already grab.
If you are having trouble open up (or place a) controlinator on your sackbots microchip and hook the button you want to cause grabbing to the R1 input button.

Hook the active output of the controlinator on the sackbot up to the behavior chip with it set to idle and the controlinator set to override. With that it will behave like a regular sackboy. Running, jumping, grabbing, the whole nine.2011-02-21 06:09:00

I don't get what you mean. It's a controlled bot by the player. Is it on override? Is the controllinator on the bot set to receiver? Is the controllinator the player uses set to transmitter? Take everything else off the circuit boards besides the controllinators and the bot's behavior chip. If this doesn't work, restart the game. If that doesn't work, idk.2011-02-21 06:12:00

If I where to do this would the extra feature that I've given my sackbot not function? I have a double jump feature as well as other aspects I've spent a lot of time creating.

It's a controlled bot by the player and the controllinator on the bot is set to receiver and the controllinator the player uses is set to transmitter. The sackbot doesn't have any behavior chip attached.

But don't take our word for it! Besides, if something gets buggered up just hit the rewind button.

That little white thing in the sackbot's primary circuit board is removed? That doesn't sound right.

haha oops my bad about the chip. I don't get much time to work on creating since I'm very busy so I don't remember all the terminology for the chips and such very well. I really do appreciate all of the help. I'll have to try it out at a later time though.

So Idle and Override it is and I'll try that hopefully later tonight.

I had to place a controllinator on the bots behavior chip as well as my hologram piece. The holo controlinator had to be set to transmitter and the behavior controlinator chip had to be set to reciever.2011-02-21 18:12:00
