The Bounce Pad Challenge!

Hello everyone this is my first post on this forum. I would like to advertise my new level The Bounce Pad Challenge! It is doing great so far and is on 4th page on cool levels (very happy btw). Please check it out and I hope you will enjoy it.

I like the idea for the level, but I found it too challenging. I think it was number 11 (it was the first long downhill jump after the first electric bit), the bounce pad is too far down for the camera to see, and it is the first one to be spaced further apart than the others, so I had no idea I was going to fall to my death. You did put in a zoomed-out camera, but I did on the first one when I put that on because it doesn't centre on you, and the perspective was really weird to play with. But I do like the idea, and if you could just sort out these problems then it would be really fun!

The level was meant to be pretty hard but with some practice you can get far. For example ive been playing the level a bit and I can get to 40+ almost everytime. And used zoomed out camera if you cant see. I hope the level gets more plays cuz atm its going down on cool levels 2011-02-20 19:35:00

i love the idea of the game, but...
please shorten the beginning of the level... i allways need to run all the way and getting forced to read everything again.
i want to start where to start. is that possible as a new feature? it takes so long to replay it, what destroyes the fun in my eyes.

hm as i think about it... maybe you can upgrade it in a way like you start again on a infinitve checkpoint and will loose all points when you start over again. yes i would love that (of course you need a setting that you want to keep your points or try again. dunno... x) sorry)

hope it was not too harsh (i still play it atm as i send this)

Well I have no idea how I will make it to where you start bouncing because thats not really fair for the people who are playing it for the first time (lol idk I what I could do). And it does only take about 10 secs to start (now cmon its not that long...plus versus version has infinite lives ) I will think about this...thanks for telling me

ah i see!

sure 10 seconds, but if you want to try it again 100 times it makes 1000 seconds. (i know its stupid but... would be nice to play faster)
hm... maybe practice mode? XD

Im a little overwhelmed lol..ive gotten so much feedback in one day its crazy lol...and I would play the versus version if you want to practice because it has infinite lives options...also I am making to where you can toggle it off and on which im stuck on right now but I think ill figure it out.

btw, i saw you played my level but got no score what happend? did a bug stopped you from winning? hope not.

Yea its just ive gotten a lot of feedback about what I should do but hey...thats good and I did play your level but I had to go somewhere so I logged off...but your level was awesome...you did a great job

I liked the challenge (got to the 34th jump and died there twice, now 5th in scoreboard), but everything looks a bit too bland; you could add a theme or something as background, since it's all gameplay and no visuals; also, why don't you add some checkpoints and just penalize the players who die? This way people could finish the level more easily and aim better for a high score.

Nice 34th thats better than most people . I tryed to make it look good :/ and idk about a background because the lighting options and I think it might look a bit weird and with no background it looks like your floating which u are and is pretty cool And I might start working on an easy version maybe by adding checkpoints each 10 jumps (but thats not really much of a change, idk ill think about it)

I am working on quick play right now but it might take awhile because my level is so close to overheating :/

I thought this was a great idea, and the challenge makes it so addicting!

The quick play option helped a great deal too, but i think it would be nice if you could make the quick play option start you off just before you start bouncing and give you the option to change the camera angle to zoomed out. Just because i find it easier zoomed out and for repeated attempts its quite important to be comfortable with the game play.

This is going ot sound picky and a bit of a weird request, but i think it would be even more eye pleasing if you did some kind of abstract background, maybe just different shapes and lights moving about or sack boy silhouettes bouncing or something, i just found it too plain.

The game play itself was as i already said, addicting, and i must have played at least ten times. I think that maybe you should variate some of the obstacles though, as most of them were the same or slightly different. Maybe have some of the pillars move up and down, or left and right. As it stands, the moving electric blocks were just quite repetitive and in some cases their movement was so close to the bounce pads it made things too hard.

I really liked the vast options at the beginning. You have a great collection of songs, and i like the fact they are mostly music sequencer ones and not LBP music. The sack bots were a cool idea but they didnt work that well for me, most of them died on the first few bounces.

So, all in all, great fun, but maybe adjust the size of the bounce pads to make them a bit easier to land on, and the same for the obstacles.
