Cardbord City (Unique Car Survival) UPDATE 1.17

So this is my first LBP(2) Release. In this level you have to dodge the cars. If one crashes you, you will die. Press L1 to sprint. If you do that, your sprint bar will raise. If its full, you won't be able, to sprint anymore. This Level is Multiplayer Compatible. I'm open for feedback and critic and update this regulary! Played it. It's a cool idea that I would definetly try again so I say YAY. I just think it needs more work. The beginning starts off weird as you roll into your thing. Plus I can see the speech bubbles ( which I couldn't read anyway- too small) I would add some more camera to it, to open up the level more. If possible make the cars smarter. I thought this was a great level. But your main problem is the difficulty of the cars. You just cant survive without sprint, and theres no way you can make it to 700 points for a reset without it. I think what you should do is incorporate a variety of cars. So have less emit at once, and slower emitting, and have them slower cars and maybe smaller. Then once the player reaches a certain score level, say 500, have a new type of car come out that is slightly larger, a different colour or shape and a bit faster, but fewer of this type emitting. Then at say 1000 points you should do the same again, and maybe add in some bonus enemy vehicles like trucks or buses that are much larger and harder to escape from. Another idea would be to have bonus stars or barrels or something that you can pick up that will reduce your sprint bar, that way you have more objectives instead of just surviving. But i really liked the idea and with improvements it could be much more fun and addicting! Thanks for your feedback Steve! For me it's no problem to get 700 Points, but i'm the creator so yea.^^ Ok first I will make the cars slower, and reduce the emmiting a little bit. Hope that makes the Level a bit easier and mor enjoyable. Oh and I like the idea with those Stars, I think i will make different, ones. I shall play it again later! My little bro played it (hes generally much better than me lol) and he got the high score, so maybe i just suck ha ha. you mean the highscore of 1000? he got that highscore with the new version I think, because after I updated it i saw someone playing it and breaking the highscore. Just played this (quite a few times! ), you've managed to get that just one more go feel. Needs a little more graphical polish although I guess it is called cardboard city (could add a title screen though), the gameplay is simple but good. I played it a few times and found the learning curve a bit steep. It seems the key to this one is remembering the pattern. Never got over 300 points. As has already been said the boost seems very important for survival but unless you sit and play over and over to get the pattern down you may never get the points needed for it. I would suggest starting off slow and ramp up as the game moves a long. Release 3 cars and the player, if they live and the 3 die start another wave. Say 4 this time. Played it again. Not sure if its easier now or im just more used to it but i did get on better. However i still think it needs much more variety, because its a little too simple at the moment in my opinion. yea, I already made a third car for the level, but Its not in the upadte And yea it should be easier. cars speed was 9, now 8.2 or something and i reduced the cars that get emmited. btw i wanted to play your level today, but i couldn't connect to the lbp server o.o (?) just played it Idea : Awesome Design : Ok, but you really could make it looking better Other stuff i like : Gameplay very stable! and the movments of your character really good. Suggestion : Make the sprint reloading without sprint it crazy hard to dont get hit by a car ^^ good job for your first creation!
