Sig contest!

Archive: 357 posts

I give a theme and describe it. I also would be giving a size minimum and max.
As each round goes by I will eliminate 1 person.

Rules:

No premade Sigs
No plagerism
No having someone do the work for you
Everyone can enter
HAVE FUN

I will be giving out a 200xp prize if that is possible for Cartman to let me do that.

I will start it when i deem we have enough people.

Each round is going to have around a 5-7 day deadline

I experiment with different styles all the time, I just happened to use cutout for this one and the one I'm currently using.

I wanted to use this for the sig contest, but sadly, it didn't fit the requirements. ;-;

I used a marble brush and did white on a black background (lightly) and the rippled it. Then punched it. The rippled it again.

Sweet! Thanks snrm, and to everyone else. I was personally backing LittleBigFan on that one.

What I do with my signatures is hunt around online for PhotoShop brushes, find any I like, save 'em. Just so they're there if I ever need them.
I rarely even have a plan of what I want when I make a signature, I have an idea of who I want to use as a render (SackBoy, V, whatever), find a picture and work the signature around it. Use the brushes I find, play around with colours and gradients maps, levels of colour, anything. I have fun. I end up with like five different versions of the same signature and save the one I like best.

It's good to put some kind of feeling across with the signature. Like, with my SackBoy one, he's the centre of the whole sig. He's holding the World, all big and mighty. So he's the main part of the signature. Changed the colour levels on him to make him stand out more, and added the glow and such to him. To radiate an "energy" almost. That's how it runs in my head anyway.
With the 'V' signature, he kind of blends into the signature, you take in a lot of the detail around him, and he's black and green like the rest of the signature. But he doesn't blend in so much that you don't notice him at all. Which is somewhat like V I guess. He hides away, but when he steps out he's the only thing you're gonna be paying attention too.

I might not be able to enter this round. My internet's completely dead, I need to get a new adapter and I don't know when that'll be.
I can try to use my brother's laptop to find images, and put them on a disc to put them on my PC, but that's so much work if I decide I want to change renders later on. I'll see what I can do, but no promises.		2008-12-01 18:42:00

cool drops: ?? don't get it
thick line effects: (i guess you mean the text) just make a selection of the text, then grow you selection with about 3 pixels, make a new layer behind your text and fill it with any colour... i hope you understand :/

I'm not the Man in charge or anything, but having been accused of the same sort of thing *glares at ArmedReaper in a joking manner* xP I think maybe you're right, sigs we enter in the contest should stay in the contest till the week is over. Sorry guys, I've been ill and all of my spare time between schoolwork and throwing up has been spent concentrating on the VGBoxart new years comp. I accept that I'm not in anymore but snrm007, you only told me to make a sig once and I never said that I would be on time with it.
