I was experimenting the other day and I found A great glitch. So I made a giant evil eye and stuck it on some cardboard then I made it just big enough so you could see into the pupil, it will than look like space in the pupil. I'll load pictures some other time.

Wouldn't it just be the texture for the pupil? Just because you can't see it easily it doesn't mean it is a glitch or an easter egg.

Most objects that arent made of materials do have some sort of "background" that you cant see unless enlarged, and make a very cool effect when they are.

Really wish we just had a basic background with a starfield in that looks like the arcade mchines in the cosmos level BG, but obviously much much larger and controllable with the UV tool. Chopping up the starfield material in a glitch layer & using the UV tool still just doesn't cut it & boxing off those arcade machines is just too small an area for much gameplay (and aren't widescreen friendly to begin with).

I completely agree. Heck, I would have settle for being able to make the starfiled material actually black like space is... instead of the dark blue colour they made it. I was really surprised to find that the colour can't be tweaked to black. Maybe if we're lucky, we'll get a sci-fi pack somewhere down the line that will give us a proper space BG that's rendered nicely with the odd twinkling star, maybe a nice nebula area, or even an animated black hole.

What is needed is a proper Space Pack DLC like the Metal Gear one etc. that would be cool. So are there anymore hidden backgrounds like this one in the game that people know about?

[color=teal]Well judging from those photo's... this ain't no regular object BG texturing. This is CLEARLY an ovbious hidden gem that was put in intentionally... and is therefor an Easter Egg. Wow... it looks amazing! I gotta try this myself!

Pretty cool looking but is there a way to use it for anything? When I was messing with it, even when my sackboy was hovering in the foreground, I couldn't see him inside the eye until I zoomed in so far that I couldn't see the space background any more.

You can take a picture of it and then stick it on some material to use as a background.

you could use the layer Glitch and put it in the back layers. tho that's just a guess.

That wouldn't work as its not really a background, the title of this thread is a bit misleading. it's probably limited to getting a few nice camera shots or taking a photo and using that as a sticker. shame really.....

I took like a bunch of different photos while zoomed in. The best I got was with no glare or anything, it was just the little galaxy and space. Too bad they never added an actual background like that. :C
