Al-right, I'm building a top-down level, and there is a cut-scene briefing at the beginning (For the controls) and then the game begins, but I want a global timer (at the top right) but for it to only start AFTER the briefing. How can I do this?2011-02-19 16:05:00

You could add a timer in the level and set it to how long it should take the player to complete the level, not sure how to keep a timer ticking away though but then you could have an output to a game ender. I'm not sure how to keep the timer working without a player sensor unless you have it activated by a switch that the player must press to progress wtih the level
Hope that gives you some ideas or a little help
Sorry I couldn't be more help to you but I'm not very good with that type of thing but I like to at least try and help

As long as the cutscene uses Movie Cameras with "Disable Controllers" on, the timer won't start till it ends.

If I understand your question properly I would use a Timer paired with a Game Ender. Make the last controls tutorial cut-scene camera trigger the timer. And make the timer visible to players and place it somewhere prevalent. Hope this helps.2011-02-19 17:40:00
