Force single player?

Is there any way to do this? And if so, how about with multiple checkpoints? | 2011-02-19 14:56:00 Author: flamingemu Posts: 1872 |
Well yeah the creator of Lost did it, I havent tried it but of course use that No Player checkpoint thing, that once you pass it, other players who join have to spectate till you finish the level and Idk how he did it But im sure with the player sensors, Like with not XOR swtich or something in case theres 2, 3 or 4 players for example. | 2011-02-19 15:03:00 Author: Bloo_boy Posts: 1019 |
To make sure you level can only be played by 1 player do this: place you entrance, and that no more player checkpoint thing, at the same place. Then Place a player sensor, where you level starts, set this player sensor to 2 player required.(make the player sensor range big enough to cover up the entrance of the level) Hook this player sensor up to a Game Ender now when ever there are 2 OR more players entering you level and thus entering the range of this player sensor, it will activate the game ender, and ends the game | 2011-02-19 15:14:00 Author: Dexist Posts: 570 |

An easy way is to put three invisible DCS's at the beggining of the level that force you to enter them and can't be exited. Whoever is lucky enough to not enter one gets to play the level, and the others just sit back and watch. | 2011-02-19 15:20:00 Author: JamesDNaux Posts: 757 |

Yup thats is the bad part of making single-player only levels, but even with the method you said you would get negative votes by people that just dont know what single-player even means. like "WTF i cant play i can only watch, this sucks!" etc etc... But, lets hope Mm makes a future update with a single player option to the level options. | 2011-02-19 15:25:00 Author: Dexist Posts: 570 |
It's better than the level just completely stopping. One of them would be able to play it at least. And as far as I'm concerned, if someone can't read the description, then I don't care about their vote anyway. | 2011-02-19 15:28:00 Author: JamesDNaux Posts: 757 |
If they gonna implement this i hope they do "host only" and rest is specting not forceing people to kick there friends from the pod Also i hope creators will have mind in using it, i know a lot of levels that supposely are "Single player" and they are fully playable on co-op and sometimes they just need few tweaks | 2011-02-19 15:54:00 Author: Shadowriver Posts: 3991 |
