Logic Help... using two scalable inputs to adjust analog signal

Just ran into an issue which is really bugging me.
I have a timer with value inc/decr by R2/L2. I also use the left stick which scales input with how far stick is moved. The timer and left stick go through an AND gate which go into the up/down and left/right inputs of an advanced mover (a splitter is used before hand to determine which is latitude and longitude).
Thus, when the left stick is pressed, a value based on both the timer and the left stick is sent to the mover (at least that is what I want to occur), allowing me to adjust the max speed by changing the timer, and fine-tune speed on the fly by adjusting how far left stick is pushed.
The problem is that the negative left stick values are a positive until the stick is pushed about halfway from center, when they suddenly convert to negatives. This means that even though I hold down on the stick, the mover moves up until I move the stick past halfway, when it abruptly changes direction to going down.
This change coincides with the 'activation' of the wire (the analog value exists as soon as the stick is touched, but the digital value only exists when stick moved past half, then stays until returned to center).
I'm not exactly sure what is happening, but I'm fairly certain it's caused by the AND gate, and how the digital value of the analog sticks are only formed when the stick is more than halfway pushed.
EDIT: Looking into using a divider to manipulate strength of left stick signal. Will have result soon.
EDIT 2: Oh wow, must be a slow day for me. Realized the timer is ruining the sign of the analog stick, trying a different system now.

EDIT 3: LOL, yep, not my day today. Found the speed scale input option, problem solved........

The dual input mover is working perfectly. It's actually pretty cool. Can use for anything that uses different speeds and need to adjust while in play mode.
