8-way grab switch
Archive: 8 posts
I think an 8-way grab switch mapped to the left analog would be handy. The switch should have 8 wires that can be connected to rockets, pistons etc. imagine if you could grab a sponge with the switch applied. Each direction attached to a rocket. This would give more direct control of vehicles. | 2008-11-20 16:37:00 Author: staticvoid Posts: 37 |

I think what he's trying to say is, when you grab a grab switch you should be able to have 8 wires coming from it that you can attach to different switches. So whilst holding the grab switch you would be able to push the left stick in one of 8 directions (left, right,up,down and all 4 diagonals) to select each function from just the one switch. Think it could be useful | 2008-11-20 17:47:00 Author: dorien Posts: 2767 |
He means that once you grab the sponge, you can trigger different things by pressing a certain direction with the stick. Kind of like the cockpit trigger I wrote about. (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=4883) | 2008-11-20 17:47:00 Author: Linque Posts: 607 |
An "8-way-switch" could easily be made by attaching 8 switches (proximity or magnetic key) to a circle, and giving Sackboy a limited-range jetpack. | 2008-11-20 17:49:00 Author: Gilgamesh Posts: 2536 |

Yeah, but that causes a small lag between pressing the left stick and the actual movement. Libidius.jp (the gradius remake) is an example of this. | 2008-11-22 20:05:00 Author: Justin Hopewell Posts: 135 |
This is a good idea. Doubt MM will make it, though. | 2008-11-27 07:38:00 Author: whatisnarwhal Posts: 164 |
