Hello Sack-Folk! Today I'm here with BlueBulletBill discussing his Love Sack competition entry and the future for all things B3.

First of all, what’s the name of your Love Sack entry?
Returning Home

What theme does it have?

This level is about...well, returning home to those you love, about love stretching great distances, and love always taking you back where you belong. Kind of sappy, but it comes from the heart.

What genre is Returning Home?
It's a platformer... but don't think you'll be getting flung around or dying 9001 times. It's a good bit different from anything I've made this far. Think much more Windmill Isles than Blue Blitz.

Is it linked to your previous levels?
Yes. In my mind, this is where Sackboy's adventures, both those the community has and haven't seen, come to an end. In my levels (excluding the 12 DOC), you've always played one Sackboy, one adventurer in search for bubbles. This little guy has left his family behind so he could support them, risking his life in worlds of Red and Blue, even setting up a home in a bubble-rich land (Windmill Isles), all the while missing his family. This is the end of his journey, where he's finally gathered enough bubbles to come home, to be able to stay.

Needless to say, this one has a bit more story than my others.

How complete is it?

Let's just say the list of things I need to do is a lot longer than the list of what I've gotten done.

How much thermo have you/are you going to use?

I'm sure I won't fill the whole thing, but I'd say it'll be less than Red Rampage (which was pretty full) and more than Blue Blitz (halfway).

Favorite section?

I'd rather not say... this level is going to have several, very different areas: grassy plains, icy mountains, etc. Everything should, if done right, have a different feel to it.

How many ideas did you have when you read the Love Sack entry conditions?

My original idea was to have Sackboy a few bubbles short for the aforementioned goal of supporting his family, and have him set out to Blue Land one last time. I changed it to this idea, though.

When can we play Returning Home?

If all goes well, March 14th. That's the day before the contest ends, right?

How many levels are you going to make after this?

Well, I'll probably stop once the PSP2 comes out and I nab LBP PSP 2. I'll say I have at least a few left in me - probably at least four.

What happens when you publish your 20th level? Will you delete and replace levels or make a 2nd PSN?

I'd start by deleting my first levels - Blue Behemoth and Zelda's Lullaby Player. Then I’ll create a new PSN. If the new PSP game is on a different server, then that probably won’t happen.

What's your favorite PSP level from last year?

Huh. Was Tera Cota made in 2010? Yeah, it was - definitely that. I hope Jonze makes a sequel to that one day. Whenever I get gadder's block, that's the level I choose. It never fails to get me thinking.

What made you get LBP PSP?

I loved the idea of making your own levels, simple as that. LBP was a game that always made me want a PS3. That and Ratchet and Clank. I was so excited when I heard they were making it for PSP.

What's your favorite level you've played on the PS3?

This is an easy one: Spice and Co. by poms. It's insane fun, and it flows quite amazingly. You didn't hear this from me, but, uh... *cough* ... *whispers* ...it might translate really well to the PSP someday. Uh, not that I plan on making anything like it. No, no sir. *cough* Nope.

Which platform do you prefer and why?

PSP. God, where do I start? Trophies are a good one - these things suck the soul out of the PS3 versions for me. I need, need to get them, but I have no fun in doing so. Mm should keep all trophies story related. Favoritism is another, the crowned of LBP seem to be given a special status, where they get granted the same special rewards - Mm picks being one - over and over again. On the PSP section, people work hard for what they get. Taffey, Poo and the like got where they are by doing amazing things over and over, not because they were hand-picked by Cambridge. I also like our corner editor, LBP PS3 has me using the grid a lot.

What's your verdict on LBP2?

Well, I still have the above problems, but I like the game otherwise. Story mode is awesome, and I can’t wait to really sit down and figure the music sequencer out. The grappling hook is something I’d really like to have on LBP PSP.

Which level, made by you, is your personal favorite and why?

Blue Blitz. Red Rampage came close, but it’s ultimately not quite as good as its Jonzian predecessor. Like Jonze plans to return to Timber Canyon, I plan on returning to Blue Blitz eventually… stay tuned.

What's your opinion on the NGP/PSP2?

As to the system itself, I’m quite excited. Trophy support makes this trophy hunter happy. But LBP PSP 2 has me worried. Will the new studio choose to stay true to Cambridge’s masterwork, or go the Mm route? Grappling hooks, water, multiplayer, heck yeah. Dark matter and crowns… no. Just no.

What would be in your ultimate sandwich?

Hmm. I dunno, but it would be chicken. Breaded chicken. *Goes to ask parents if we can go to Chik-Fil-A for dinner tonight*

Thank you very much for your time B3! It's been a pleasure chatting with you and I hope to see some awesome work from you in the near future!

The pleasure is all mine. Thank you for giving me this great opportunity!

Thanks again for doing this, Cheeze.

No problemo!

Love Sack competition?

I suppose it should be in News & Media, but I don't know if lots of PSPers will find it* Again. Especially with Hansel & Gretelbot being released, people are posting in the thread quite franticly.

*hence why I might post LittleBigVids in the PSP section.
