Is it possible to always, automatically "go advanced"?
Archive: 9 posts
When I'm replying to a thread - frankly the interface for "quick reply" is lousy and I hate using it. Is there a way to always default to "advanced mode" - i.e. loading up a decently-sized text entry box? | 2011-02-18 19:45:00 Author: tetsujin Posts: 187 |

I'm pretty sure it's not possible, however, if you look to the right of the reply box you can use these http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/LBPC-Style/editor/resize_0.gif http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/LBPC-Style/editor/resize_1.gif to give you bigger or smaller text box. Another handy tip to know is that by double-clicking the 'reply with quote' button you will be taken directly to the advanced editor. Hopefully this helps | 2011-02-19 04:24:00 Author: SR20DETDOG Posts: 2431 |

I don't really see what's the problem with "quicl reply" anyways tho? Isn't it the same? | 2011-02-19 09:56:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
I don't really see what's the problem with "quicl reply" anyways tho? Isn't it the same? Advanced has more options, like change text size and show all smilies. Unless you have every BBCode and smiley code on your mind it is always useful. | 2011-02-19 10:02:00 Author: gdn001 Posts: 5891 |
Unless you have every BBCode and smiley code on your mind it is always useful. Oh, I pretty much do already, probably why I don't really notice. | 2011-02-19 10:04:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |

The hyperlinks on the "Reply" and "Reply With Quote" buttons do actually point to the advanced mode, but there's a JavaScript "onclick" hook which picks up a click first. Bypassing the JS hook depends on browser. On IE, either right-click then "Open in New Tab" or just middle-click will both open the advanced edit in a new tab, or just right-click then "Open" to open in the same tab. Not sure about other browsers, but I suspect something similar will work. | 2011-02-19 11:43:00 Author: Aya042 Posts: 2870 |

Or click hard in the Bottom Right corner of the left clicker and you stay on the same tab, but gives you another tab... | 2011-02-19 13:42:00 Author: Unknown User |
