Making a Car move AND jump (side-view)

Ok, I'm wiring this thing from scratch, and I know it's possible.. I just forgot how.. It's a simple, old fashioned (not top-down) wheeled vehicle. It's got motorbolts and a button to make it jump with a mover. But when the mover acts, it completely ignores gravity and momentum. It's not a 'natural' jump. Hook your button into a counter that's set to one. Hook the output of the counter to your mover and to a timer. Set the timer's input for "Start count up". Hook the timer to it's own reset and to the reset of the counter. Also, you want the mover set to "Local space" so it picks up on the current forward momentum of the car. You'll need to tweak the dampening, speed, etc. to make it more natural as well as the timer, which tells it how long to move. So as soon as you hit the jump button, the counter fills up and will provide power to your mover until the timer resets it. | 2011-02-18 20:56:00 Author: Shanghaidilly Posts: 153 |
