Tracing shapes from photos

Has anyone tried tracing a shape from a photo with much luck? I'm going to try it tonight once I find my PS3eye but I'm curious as to whether itworks that well or not. | 2008-11-20 10:14:00 Author: AtheistSeaOtter Posts: 54 |
Yes, it does. Just be sure to use the corner editing tool. I love your name btw! :arg: | 2008-11-20 11:56:00 Author: Unknown User |
Right oh. I haven't had much luck with the corner editing tool so far, it seems to like not doing anything a lot of the time... lol, thanks. Science be praised. | 2008-11-20 12:08:00 Author: AtheistSeaOtter Posts: 54 |
What does tracing means?.. | 2008-11-20 17:00:00 Author: Mitos Posts: 37 |
Uh, that's when you draw something using something else behind it like a guide. Surely you've heard of tracing paper? | 2008-11-20 18:00:00 Author: AtheistSeaOtter Posts: 54 |
You could get the photo onto a big piece of material, for example, a very large square of carboard, and use the "cut out" or "remove" or whatever it's called thing on say, a square shape to make rough cuts of the object. Then use the corner editor to make some final adjustments. I don't think people necessarily expect or want a 100% accurate cut. As long as people can attach picture A to object B, it should be enough. | 2008-11-23 05:37:00 Author: Elbee23 Posts: 1280 |
I have actually done this before. It was when I was making a 'Happy Birthday!' level for my sister. I used my PLAYSTATION Eye to take a picture of her head from another photo. Then I placed that Sticker onto a block of Beige Cotton (Sponge). I then used the Corner Editing Tool to crop the block of Beige Cotton to the shape of her. The edges were a bit funky, but that's because it was a sponge material, but all in all, it was a happy birthday! 8D | 2008-11-23 05:46:00 Author: Unknown User |
