Brain-wash TV

Hi there! A quick note just to let you know I published my 1st LBP2 yesterday. In fact there are 2 linked levels: The intro wich is a funny short movie, and then the level itself. I?m still thinking about if I should publish separately for those who don't care about movies and want straight game play? and movies seem to be quite popular in LBP2. It jumped to cool levels a few minutes after publish, so maybe some of you might have already played it? But I you played it yesterday and found any bugs, forget it, as I've been solving issues since then. Now I think it's fine? I hope you like it! 30668306693067030671 http://lbp.me/v/xxhe3x | 2011-02-18 13:09:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |
Played this last night and had an absolute blast! The style, pace and puzzles in this level really impressed me. As always Poms, you win my respect. | 2011-02-18 13:21:00 Author: rialrees Posts: 1015 |

Played it yesterday. Though I played it just to play it. I'll try it again when I have time and look for things I can leave feed back on. Right now though I can say I liked your brains that you shoot out, and how the sackbots would 'eat' them. | 2011-02-18 16:30:00 Author: LukeCF Posts: 790 |
Loads of fun, you haven't lost your touch, eh! Loved the theme, original and nicely executed. I think my favourite part was blasting all those logo's at the end, there's a nice subtext to the action going on there which wraps the level up on the perfect note, heh. Great stuff. | 2011-02-18 16:55:00 Author: julesyjules Posts: 1156 |
Very nice idea and awesome effects I like it! | 2011-02-18 17:42:00 Author: Unknown User |
This is absolutely Mind Blowing poms! The style is just so unique and different, it certainly stands out from any other level. I can see you have gotten a little inspiration from some Mm levels, lovely jovely You have also as well as fit lots of gameplay in but also alot of interactive minigames along the way for instance shooting all the television logos along the way to the bottom of the passage way. The introduction was ingeneius, setting the scene before you start the level itself is just what is wanted because you obviously want to know why your in a television xD! Congratz on your succession anyways, Hope to see you around. | 2011-02-18 18:41:00 Author: Azure_Mist Posts: 12 |
Was somebody actually complaining about lack of quality platformers on LBP 2? Innovative, artistic, solid plot, and just all around fun to play. I did half expect to encounter some boss like component of the television though, I am worried I did not finish it off and now it will forever stalk me. | 2011-02-18 18:54:00 Author: EinRobot Posts: 739 |
Sweet! Expect a Mm pick to come soon Really loved the gameplay in this level! I can't find anything bad at all here. Instaheart! | 2011-02-18 23:46:00 Author: Entity Posts: 274 |
A level that is as wacky as it is ingenius! The mechanic you stuck to throughout was perfect, and while the visuals were unusual, they somehow worked. I loved it. Blowing up the x-factor is something I always wanted to do, but the price of plane tickets these days.... | 2011-02-18 23:49:00 Author: KQuinn94Z Posts: 1758 |
Great concept and execution. Really enjoyed it, I had no second thoughts about hearting it. I cannot recall any problems/troubles. I shall save race mode for another day. Thank you for publishing it separately, I prefer it that way personally. The intro video was great when the family was jumping for joy. TV in general seems to be getting worse. I would much rather be brainwashed by LBP. | 2011-02-19 00:25:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |
Went in and played this earlier - what can I say? Once again you've provided someting that is polished, stylized, and flat-out fun. Tons of well-placed decorations, and a unique hook on the gameplay. I love how you didn't have to spoon-feed it to the player - there are some puzzles in there that really make you stop and think, but never too much to make you sit in once place for too long. If I didn't immediately understand what to do, my son would see it and keep me going. | 2011-02-19 04:38:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Nice to see a platformer getting attention for a change! As always Poms, your design and style is un-matched. Challenging at times, this level makes you think about what you need to do next. Tons of fun to play in what is hopefully only the beginning of your LBP2 creations. Rated and hearted. | 2011-02-19 08:04:00 Author: Mr_T-Shirt Posts: 1477 |
Fantastic level, nice job man :] | 2011-02-19 08:17:00 Author: Ghost Posts: 114 |
This level is great, very unique story and setting, I loved the cutscene in the begginig, Love the design you did inside the TV, with the wires and the batteries and everything. The platforming was unique, using those brains to lure the sackbot that was really cool, The part with you control the color sackbots to press the swtiches was cool, wish it was a bit longer though. But it was cool section, the Using the brains to activate the swticthes etc that was amazing I liked that the most, at the end the ride where you shoot stuff was a little to fast but Im sure its supposed to be that way for getting points etc, to make it challenging. The ending was creative and funny XD i liked the part where the bubble appeared and you heard a chicken noise that made me lol but it was cool. I gave it a heart and a , very good level ^___^. | 2011-02-19 16:56:00 Author: Bloo_boy Posts: 1019 |
Thanks for your feedback guys! For some reason I can't quote any message! Everytime I try my comp keeps thinking... lol | 2011-02-19 17:09:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |
What a great way to start your LBP2 levels, Poms. VISUALS: The cinematic scene in the first level is very funny. The second level has excellent visuals thanks to material choices and polishing. The sackbot designs are great too. SOUND: Good music choices and electrifying sound effects. GAMEPLAY: This level features outstanding usage of sackbots, creatinator, and controlinator. Despite that it's disgusting to shoot the brains, it's a brilliant idea to use them as a platform or a snack of the TV guys. The controlinator gameplays in this level are a blast as you shoot the TVs and control the sackbots. OVERALL: It's as highly enjoyable as your LBP1 levels. You always come up with something new each time you make a new level. A yeah vote, a heart, and a positive review. | 2011-02-19 17:14:00 Author: JustinArt Posts: 1314 |

Heh.... I was checking out lbp.me and saw you publish it - added to queue. I was just replaying level 2 for the third time last night. Man, the high scores are hard to reach at this point. | 2011-02-24 13:17:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Yeah I know! A guy was getting more than 25000 points and I didn't know it was even possible! I had to replay it quite a few times to get back to 1st place! I'm already preparing the sequel and I'm really excited! I hope to publish in a couple of weeks! The level I've just published was meant to be the intro, but I can't keep any finished work in my moon... lol | 2011-02-24 13:27:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |

Sweet! New POMS levels! Can't wait to see what you've come up with this time, I've got them queued up and will play them next time im on, Gotta say your 'Miracle Of Life' level is still my all time number one. I've finished my first LBP2 level, it's a space themed film called 'Adventures Of A Space Monkey - Intro' . If you get time i would really value your opinion on it. http://lbp.me/v/x3wtsm PSN: TheNotorious-187 | 2011-02-25 08:31:00 Author: thespacemonkey187 Posts: 318 |
I played level 3 last night. Really cool! Can't wait to see where the story leads. One small English correction. When it says "my father took a decision" it should read "my father made a decision." | 2011-02-25 11:19:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |

Sorry for doubleposting I've just had a blast adding real voice acting to the whole thing! I recommend you all to do the same if you make any movie. It's really fun and the result is worthy! I think I like this stuff! | 2011-02-28 16:49:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |
