RIP Spyro

Archive: 5 posts

It is a sad state of affairs, Spyro was ruined the day Insomniac sold the rights to him. The legend of Spyro games were horrible, he looks like a fully grown dragon and nothing like how he should look. Now he looks like some creepy gremlin, used as a way to get naive parents to buy this crap for their kids. I am afraid this is not Spyro, the fact his name is even used to promote this shoddy piece of crap is upsetting to say the least. The makers of this game should be ashamed of themselves.

First three games were made by Insomniac. The Legend of Spyro reboot was by someone else (can't remember off the top of my head).

Yeah I know that, its the reason behind the question.

When someone is saying the series was ruined the day Insomniac sold the rights to it that statement is flawed because Insomniac didn't own Spyro for the games they developed. The start of Spyro states that Spyro is owned by Universal Interactive Studios.

The rights being sold before the first game was released would mean the series was ruined even during the games that everyone likes.
