paintinator + sackbot help

hello, i want a player controlled sackbot with a paintinator. i'm able to aim and shoot the gun but the problem comes when i release the right analog stick. the sackbot resets the position of the paintinator to the right every time. is there anyway to get the paintinator to act as if it were in the hands of a player and maintain its aiming angle after the right stick is released?

also, is there a way to change the sackbot's default red color? i want to change the color that shows up on the paintinator gun itself but since the sackbot's default color is red (the color of it's microchip) the gun displays red and i can't seem to change it.

Yes that's really annoying. It's a bug that I reported in the beta but obviously hasn't been fixed. I didn't know because I haven't done anything with the paintinator since, so I'll add it to my LBP2 bugs thread. I suppose there may be some sort of memory logic you could do for the right stick. I don't know if it would work though.2011-02-19 15:26:00

You could either use a complicated method that would require logic to remember the exact analogue output of the right stick

or you could take the easier route and direction split both the up/down and left/right outputs, and wire all four directions into counters set to one, that reset when their opposite direction is pushed, and wire those counters into direction combiners that go into the inputs for the right stick on the bot. That would only let you aim in the 8 main directions, but I imagine that would be fine for most purposes.
