Emit Once for Creatinator?

Archive: 4 posts

Hi, so basically I have a creatinator and I need it to act like the "Emit Once" option on an emitter (I.e. it only emits one object every time it receives a signal). Because at the moment I press R1 to fire and it emits a bunch at a time, I don't want this to happen, I only want it to emit one every time you press R1.

I may be being silly, but I can't find any option to do this anywhere. If you can't do it, well then...

could you put the emitter on a sequencer and have r1 trigger that? idk2011-02-17 21:19:00

No, sorry I mean on a creatinator not on an emitter. Using an emitter instead of a creatinator is pretty much not an option.

Edit: Oh, I've got it, changing the rate of fire to about 1.0 does the job. Sorry I should have experimented more before making this thread.

Sackbots.. OR...

if you specifically want one shot per press and aren't too fussy about reload time... But then it might break in multiplayer and at times be a little awkward for the players... Basically you emit hologram that then emits a projectile. If you hold down fire then the previous piece of hologram is still in existence and this will have a tag on that prevents the projectile from the second holo from firing. Holding down fire will just perpetuate this chain of events, until you release the trigger for the lifetime of the hologram.

I'd suggest holo is emitted for 0.1s at a rate of 0.0s.
