Train Level.

Whaaaaaats up guys !

Im making a deathmatch level, which takes place on a moving train! Yes, a moving train.

I use emitters to emulate a moving background, ground, and tunnels. The train itself is actually standing still..
Now the problem is, it doesnt feel 'natural'.

So any tips for me? The emitters 'shoot' the material (Train tracks) At high speed, so it slides right under the train, Which emulate the effect of a moving train. But it just doesnt work to well..

Make the train move a little to the left/right to give the idea its really moving on the tracks.
But im sure other ppl can help you on some more in depth stuff!

Just a suggestion but rather then shooting the track you could have movers in a sequencer attached to the track you are emitting. Seems like that would give more control then shooting it out. Also, as has already been said, some to and fro moving for the train may add to the viewer experience.2011-02-17 22:10:00
