The Evolution of a Level

Wanted to start a thread about how levels come about, trials and tribulations that you have faced in creating and solutions and compromises that you have made to make your idea come to life.

I just finish..err...published my first LBP 2 level Turtle vs. The Volcanohttp://lbp.me/v/xx086c and it could not be farther away from the top-down flyer i was originally dreaming of, but thats how my creating started anyway.

I was kind of stuck on making a spawning system for my controlinator planes so i started on a new level with simplified objects and effects but with the same kind of remote controlinator vehicle thing going on. I made a turtle for the vehicle and put some water in the level because it was a turtle. So i was playing around perfecting my respawn/death logic and i thought that my turtle could use some more water to swim around in...soooo... thats when i finally started working on Turtle Vs The Volcano.

Its not always a straight line that gets you where you want to go, by giving myself a break from the problem, i was having, by putting it into a fresh situation really helped me learn alot about how the logic and things work. I hope you will share similar experiences you have had in creating.
