[Beta] The Ancient Cave of New Beh'Ta (Beta-mm pick)

I got more and more and more and more pm's, mails and what not asking me about "the ancient cave of beh ta" and the rest of the series. People even commented on my lbp2 profile explaining me how to import the levels. But since a lot of people are demaning the levels, and I was quite proud of them back in the Beh'Ta.. I mean back in the beta. Since they are Beta imports I am not gonna spend a lot of time talking about the levels. Another reason I am publishing them is because I am atm working on a game (for lbp2) that will take at least another month/two months before its really finished. The way score triggers are used to give rewards to players add another level of game play and replay ability. We like to joke a lot in the QA room about the all important 'art pass' and this level is a great example of an art pass done well. At times it stresses the performance of the game to the limit but it’s worth it to have visuals this good. Finally no LBP level is complete without a good puzzle, this level has three, all of which will tease your brain. Enjoy! Enjoy! Luos, I loved this! The visuals were as amazing, as awesome, as slick and as inventive as the gameplay. I can't stress how much I like those visuals and the gameplay is friggin' awesome and everything is just.... amazing! Same for the sequel. LBP2 has just become full of top-downs and movies as OmegaSlayer stated. This is a great breath of fresh air for an oxygen-starved thug. Or a depressed 'my hamster died' child. Or a very enthusiastic grown-up. Or whoever. how can it get stuck there though? I tested that part many times(sadly cant edit beh ta 1 anymore). where does it exactly get stuck? It seemed to get stuck on the wall just to the right of it in the image of it in the first post. No matter what I did it wouldn't swap layers, it would just run to the wall and remain there on the front layer, instead of moving back a layer to come out. It was trying to come forward, but it was just pushing into the wall and nothing else, and no matter what I did it wouldn't come out. I did try getting into the area using the Grabinators so I could pick him up and carry him off the layer, but the remove power-up gate stopped me using them. Perhaps it's just something that can happen from time to time or I was just really unlucky. I'll test that part out again and see what happens and if there might be a certain thing that caused it to get stuck on the front layer. | 2011-02-17 21:44:00 Author: Moonface Posts: 310 |
