Creating lighting effects??

| Hi guys. I am having a hard time figuring out how to recreate the light effects we saw in the "Patients are a Virtue" section of Eves Asylum. Specifically the spinning flower shapes on the walls in the middle of the level, where it goes dark and they light up in blue and green. Maybe I'm just being obtuse lol but I haven't been able to figure it out. I've got an idea fr a level about cave diving (yay for scuba gear) and I think that light effect would work really well in it. Any help appreciated! | I think it's just a couple of blue LED lights with the global lighting down and darkness up. Add just a little bit of fogginess (like 1-2%) to the light to give the area a little glow, and expand out the radius to cover the area you're in. A nice side effect is that LEDs and antennae lights can be hidden in play mode, so you don't actually see the light. | 2011-02-17 04:36:00 Author: Chazprime  Posts: 587 |
| Holograms definitely become a lot clearer if you turn down the global lighting/darkness settings. I'm guessing about 25% lighting, 50% darkness is similar to the level in question. The spinning flowers are just holo I think. | 2011-02-17 04:52:00 Author: midnight_heist  Posts: 2513 |
| I messed with the holo material already, and couldn't produce the same effect even halfway lol. But maybe I need to go look at it from a different angle. Thanks! Oops. I had replied also to the first response but it didn't get posted. I've only had LBP2 about 5 days lol. I didn't realize lights were more tweakable than before. Ill go back and mess with that also and see what I can come up with. Thanks! =D Thank you so much! I went back and replayed the level (aaaagain) and looked at it with yiur suggestions in mind.
