Two Amazing Indie Games

Archive: 3 posts

I have seen many indie games in my time, and if there is one thing I have noticed, everyone always seems to love the ideas of indie games, but no one seems to know about them! So here are two amazing indie games I have found that I want to share with you guys:

First off, of course, is Minecraft. Now I am not going to go into it at all, as there is already a post about it. I just wanted to say, it is really amazing, and is constantly being updated.

Second, and what this post is mainly for, is an amazing game called Overgrowth. While it seems to have an odd theme, with "ninja animals" fighting eachother, it works very well, and is a beuatiful game graphicly and interface wise. Every week there is a video of what the developers have updated that week, and they are always adding new things. (Allot like Minecraft, once you buy it, you get an update every week with new content to explore.) The people at Wolfire games are also very skilled, having a brilliant (and comedic) game designer, and a visual designer whos paintings and 3D models in the game are just evidence to how amazing his art can be.

If your not sure about Overgrowth, Wolfire games has about 18 videos of all of the updates, and I think those show a fair amount of gameplay and mechanics. Go to the Overgrowth website for videos or pre-order information here (http://www.wolfire.com/overgrowth). Have fun with these great Indie games, I hope this opened some eyes to the fun that can be found out there!

Aye, overgrowth, I've been watching it and looking at some of the weekly videos; it has anthropomorphic ninja rabbits trying to kill each other and giant whale men statues...so far the game is quite violent. :eek:2011-02-17 02:06:00

It is quite a violent game, but the combat and graphics are so fluent with all of the sounds and animations...It's just stunning. It's not for everyone, but I know I would want to be told about it if I was unaware of it's existence. 2011-02-17 02:09:00
