[create] sharing (copying) a level to friends without public publishing?

| Hello everyone, what is the suggested method to make a level copyable by friends or other dedicated people without having to publish it for all. I tried to publish it locked but copyable and giving the key to a friend, however he said he couldn't copy it? Bear in mind that setting the copy on My Moon to copyable won't make the published version copyable unless you republish. Oh, also, the level data can be cached by the LBP2 client, so if set the published version to copyable while your friend was online, your friend may have to restart LBP2 in order to see that it's changed. | 2011-02-16 14:21:00 Author: Aya042  Posts: 2870 |
| HI Aya042, thanks for your tips, I guess we have to retry, for what it's worth: I shared the key by inserting it on a new level on the moon and playtesting it with my friend? could that be the cause, should I have sent him the key in another way? That works, or you can send the key as a LittleBigGift (find it in popit, press square, and choose "Send To My Friend"). Either way, the result should be the same. If your friend can actually access the level, but just not copy it, then it's not the key part that's the problem, but something making their LBP2 client believe the level is not marked copyable. Worst-case scenario: you can "Export" the level to a file, copy it via a USB sitck to a PC, and send it via email. | 2011-02-16 15:09:00 Author: Aya042 Posts: 2870 |
