Just played your level. I liked it but I will concentrate on things that might need adjusting. First off the trees are uniform and some of your rock material could be corner edited to look less like rectangles and more like natural rock formations. The sleepy Owl fell over. The part just past that when you are jumping over gaps on the grass topped platform, when the cinematic triggered it caused me to die, maybe dont have it trigger in the middle of platform jumping gameplay. Also are you supposed to die when exiting the telescope? anyway I would be interested to play this again after updates. I am not needing any F4F at the moment so this is just F.2011-02-15 21:12:00

I thought it was a great level! I thought the telescope was really clever, and the platforming was fun. I think you should try to polish it a bit more however, like corner edit all of the points and corners on the rocks. It would probably be a good idea to use more than one rock material to add to the detail as well. Some areas were a little unclear on where to go for me however, like the part with the sleeping owl. I would just suggest trimming the edges (literally!) of the level, and that would make it even more awesome. All in all, I enjoyed it and look forward to the sequel!

Here is a link to my feedback level if you get the time: https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=48318-The-Ship-Yard

Thanks!

A good level with a very immersing intro and very nicely done cutscenes.
A good choice of music aswell.

The grappling hook parts were solid and fun.
The two major issues i?ve run into were at the very beginning after you have pulled the first switch it wasn?t very clear where to move on. The sponge that brings you to the next area is not seen instantly, and I lost two lives as I thought I needed to do something with the candles in the first room ... You know, I was attracted by the light and not the brown sponge in the shadow at the ceiling.. so you might wanna put some more camera or lighting focus on the key parts. Same with the power gloves part. Maybe it's just me but it took me a while to figure out that I had to throw the blocks through the door into the basket on the other side...
With your great camera work in the cutscenes, I think you shouldn?t have too much trouble to put more focus on key elements.

Also the part where the spike platform is moving up and down and you have to reach the switch at the ceiling was a bit frustarting. You easily die from the spikes on the floor by moving too close to them ... you also die there if you just somehow do not jump the right way. I think, to sink the spikes a bit more into the floor would help to defrustrate that part.

Just some minor issues, overall a fun level to play.

I?d appreciate if you reviewed my level linked in my signature, if you have the time. Thanks.

Just played it. I didn't expect a lot going into it but I was blown away!
The gameplay was really clever and the cinematics were really well-done!
Good work!

- I would use a different material for the space/stars at the start (like rubber) instead fo cardboard.
- Never use 3 layers when 2 will do.
- Spikes protruding out of the ground. A pet peeve of mine in lbp. I feel it is unfair to the player. (Chewbacca815 summed it up nicely)
+ Trick owl sponges.
- Top switch in the owl room not glued down.
-+ Reveal is nice, but the camera transition is a bit weird.
+ Interesting owl characters/ideas.
- Cutscene plays twice if you run into the hit area again. Use a counter set to 1 to prevent this. And please make them skippable.
+ Fun tree grapple gameplay.
+ Telescope!
+ Grabbable goo hatch.
- Evil owl cutscene plays again if you die in the gas.
- "I can't let you past i'm afraid". Ha. I stopped expecting a boss. Nothing happened. Went on and activated the next checkpoint. Ran back, then the owl started moving ha.

A perfectly enjoyable level.
Sums up LittleBigPlanet pretty well.

Just played your lvl, it was great, and had some clever ideas to it.
The telescope bit was a bit confusing, why not make one stick control movement on all directions? took me a while to figure it out.
I also liked the reveal of the background after the first part, pretty epic. you should have more such moments.

Overall a really enjoyable level, and has a good LBP feel to it with a right balance of humor and adventure.
Very nice job, keep it up.

You have some good visuals and solid level design going on here. I'm actually kind of curious to play the next installment to see what happens, haha. Some of the platforming sections were a little frustrating, though. Especially trying to jump between the grass-covered platforms. They had rounded edges and were difficult to land and jump on. Aside from that, pretty good.

I just published Rainbow Waves (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=49840-Rainbow-Waves) so if you have the time, I'd love some feedback on that as well.

Ok what an original and arty level! It had a great atmoshere of adventure and the owl characters were genius - my favourite being the Astronomer with the deadly ink. I've scanned over the suggestions above which seem to have pretty much all bases covered - I did have some difficulty with the angle of the bounce pads immediateley right of the sleeping owl ( I kept flying more to the right than straight up) but overall I felt this was a worthy gad and one that I happiliy hearted to revisit with friends.
If you find time I'd appreciate a little F4F on my level 'Dark Heart of the Wood'
