To end the confusion on "High Five Alex Evans" Pin.
Archive: 40 posts
I just sent an email to Mm, praising them for LBP2. I also sneaked in an Internet High Five image. The reply I got will end the confusion, they said "sorry only real ones work". So this pin will be impossible to get unless you randomly bump into him in the street. | 2011-02-15 17:10:00 Author: RibShark Posts: 83 |
Nice try Shame about that though, but oh well. | 2011-02-15 17:16:00 Author: kirbyman62 Posts: 1893 |
I actually think it's the funniest achievement I've ever seen! I wish Alex would come to Montreal to the internation game develloper association or something. I know Media Molecule came here before. I would definetely bump into Alex with an High five! Must be awesome to walk around and people around you randomly want to high five you. LOL | 2011-02-15 17:17:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
Until your hands are bleeding at the end of every games convention you attend It is great though, found out about this one at Eurogamer, just after Alex left for the weekend lol. Though, in honesty, was there actually any confusion about this? I kinda thought it was pretty self-explanatory | 2011-02-15 17:33:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
Though, in honesty, was there actually any confusion about this? I kinda thought it was pretty self-explanatory Lol, I didn't know that you could do it in another way than IRL. So it was pretty obvious for me. And the chances for me to get this pin is 1%. | 2011-02-15 17:37:00 Author: Alec Posts: 3871 |

So once you hi-five him, what is the process? They hand out a code or write down your psn or what? | 2011-02-15 19:18:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |

I assume they change it manually in their system. I recieved the "Master of the Internets" pin without recieving a code or anything. | 2011-02-15 19:35:00 Author: Burnvictim42 Posts: 3322 |
Yea it's manually hand given and got that mark on wiki | 2011-02-15 19:38:00 Author: Shadowriver Posts: 3991 |
I believe a Fluffy Unicorn comes through your window and blasts your PS3 with rainbow-flavoured awesome and this (obviously) triggers the pin activation. | 2011-02-15 19:53:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
you know what this is starting to sounds like? like if the entire life outside lbp2 had pins aswell Just imagine it... "escape from jail 10 times!" "Buy Milk!" "Survive a japaneese gameshow!" "eat a snail!" "Win The Game" HMMMmmmm.... | 2011-02-15 19:55:00 Author: >er. Posts: 785 |

So this pin will be impossible to get unless you randomly bump into him in the street. Impossible, no. Unlikely, yes. At least you're more likely to get this one than the "Molecule" pin. | 2011-02-15 20:05:00 Author: Nuclearfish Posts: 927 |

"Get a job at Mm." These pins are gonna be hard to get. "Run an awesome LBP2 fansite!" I wonder if CC already has that one. | 2011-02-15 23:04:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
"Get a job at Mm." These pins are gonna be hard to get. "Run an awesome LBP2 fansite!" I wonder if CC already has that one. The admins and staff (mods included.) get this pin. | 2011-02-15 23:19:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
From Tom at the littlebigworkshop: lol - charming little story, nice try! But this pin is strictly for real high-fives only. And afaik so far that only been Gevurah22 who was in the office just before Christmas. EG Expo in October, E3, maybe GDC might be potential opportunities but really - don't stress, it's just a bit of fun chaps ;P It's pretty funny how it happened, too. I believe a Fluffy Unicorn comes through your window and blasts your PS3 with rainbow-flavoured awesome and this (obviously) triggers the pin activation. That's exactly what happened. And it had this posh London accent as well. So crazy. | 2011-02-15 23:48:00 Author: gevurah22 Posts: 1476 |
That's exactly what happened. And it had this posh London accent as well. So crazy. Now we all know why you made that unicorn level on beta... it was a vision o.o! | 2011-02-16 13:08:00 Author: Shadowriver Posts: 3991 |
Now we all know why you made that unicorn level on beta... it was a vision o.o! I never really thought of it that way. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!! | 2011-02-16 19:06:00 Author: gevurah22 Posts: 1476 |

So this pin will be impossible to get unless you randomly bump into him in the street. Well, Looks like I'm gonna need a fake hand. Anyone know where to get them? | 2011-02-16 21:41:00 Author: gamerC0LA64 Posts: 274 |
maybe if you high five him your soul goes inside him and you get a pin XD | 2011-02-16 21:44:00 Author: WESFUN Posts: 1336 |
If you Hi-Five him, the moment your hands make contact, his programmer brain sends super gamma waves toward your PS3, therefore triggering the pin. http://i54.tinypic.com/vzdh1d.gif | 2011-02-16 22:04:00 Author: captain sack Posts: 88 |
Well, Looks like I'm gonna need a fake hand. Anyone know where to get them? But he said "sorry only real ones work". As in, not fake. Seriously though, if you have no hands and meet Alex Evans and have the opportunity to high five him they aren't going to exclude you for this technicality. That'd just be mean. "Sorry, no hands, no pin." I just don't see that happening. Though it might make a funny Monty Python'esque skit. | 2011-02-16 22:16:00 Author: Osprey71 Posts: 93 |
Chances you are going to play LBP2 without a hand(s)? | 2011-02-16 23:41:00 Author: Saku401 Posts: 83 |
So... where's their office then? Might take a trip down there... | 2011-02-16 23:45:00 Author: standby250 Posts: 1113 |
So... where's their office then? Might take a trip down there... Can't let you do that, Star Fox. | 2011-02-16 23:55:00 Author: gevurah22 Posts: 1476 |
Well if your not a good creator you could always apply for a custodial job at MM. I'm sure you could get the high five pin also. | 2011-02-17 05:00:00 Author: hoosierdaddie Posts: 24 |
something tells me Alex will regret this pin. | 2011-02-17 05:49:00 Author: EinRobot Posts: 739 |
Can't let you do that, Star Fox. Ummm..... Star Fox? | 2011-02-17 08:19:00 Author: standby250 Posts: 1113 |
I really need to visit England sometime soon This, along with the 'Work for Mm' pin, are probably two of the hardest pins that are available for LBP2. Good thing that we don't need them to get the platinum trophy or something. (...) Anyone got any other suggestions? How about 'Do a barrel roll'? | 2011-02-17 21:40:00 Author: iArekusu Posts: 402 |
Now, what if you meet Alex Evans in game an you get your moving sackhand(TWSS) to collide with his moving sackhand? Mmmmm? Kipkay? | 2011-02-18 01:35:00 Author: Cronos Dage Posts: 396 |
This is definitely going on my to-do list for my England trip. *Leo-strut into MM Towers* "Good evening. I am Astrosimi and I demand to high-five the programmer known as Alex Evans." | 2011-02-18 01:49:00 Author: Astrosimi Posts: 2046 |
Is it stipulated that it must be the Alex Evans that works at Media Molecule? Because I've got a phonebook that says this pin isn't so hard to get at all | 2011-02-18 08:35:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
Can't let you do that, Star Fox. Great. Just what I need to see. Star Wolf! Um... I mean Geruvah22. Yeah. But he said "sorry only real ones work". As in, not fake. Hey, Is anyone willing to donate a hand? | 2011-02-18 12:24:00 Author: gamerC0LA64 Posts: 274 |
Is it stipulated that it must be the Alex Evans that works at Media Molecule? Because I've got a phonebook that says this pin isn't so hard to get at all But will the Pin Unicorn accept that? | 2011-02-18 16:48:00 Author: gevurah22 Posts: 1476 |
But will the Pin Unicorn accept that? yes. *Runs in horror of the Pin Unicorn's rainbow cake-blasting airship of doom and sunshine and happiness and doomness* | 2011-02-24 23:15:00 Author: gamerC0LA64 Posts: 274 |
