I've been wanting to do it for ages now but I don't think I'd have the skill to do it justice! In my idea it's quite short level, just a one battle type of thing. Because it would involve a controlinator a fun idea would be to have it attached to a game boy which then switches to the traditional top down view when you jump in it. Then You walk into some thick grass, or past a trainer causing the screen to flash and spin, leading into the classic battle view. It's gonna be extremely tough and I have no idea even where to start but it's gotta be worth a shot! Anyway I'd greatly appreciate any feedback or ideas, or even how we could make some of the mechanics run! Thanks a bunch -Matt | 2011-02-15 15:11:00 Author: thatmattkid Posts: 9 |

Yeah pretty much failing at the first hurdle here! I checked out a tutorial by the guy who made the donkey kong level about making a sprite, but it's not perfectly clear so unless I can make my little guy theres not a whole lot I can do lol | 2011-02-15 16:29:00 Author: thatmattkid Posts: 9 |
Pokemon sprites are haaaard to copy. I spent a couple hours making a fire red/leaf green pikachu. | 2011-02-15 21:50:00 Author: Unknown User |
I've got a sackbot (costume based loosel on Red) at the moment that acts like flinging his arm a bit and a timed emitter to throw a pokeball with an emitter and impact sensor which pops out a Squirtle. I've got some kind of plan to do a pokemon adventure type level using the three original starters to complete different tasks. I currently have costumes for Squirtle, Wartortle, Blastoise, Charmander and Charizard sackbots. I've got rough idea's about having three different pokemon summons (e.g. L1 + Square = Squirtle, L1+Triangle = Charmander, L1+Square = Bulbasaur), and some type of counter system that makes them evolve to their next stage. The only problem is making a decent Bulbasaur that stands on its back legs!! Hope you manage this though! I'm thinking of looking up a score and music-sequencing the gameboy game's Intro and Route music if you'd want them I could provide them (if i do a good job ofcourse) | 2011-02-20 14:28:00 Author: Unknown User |
