I have a top down level and I have monsters that get emitted and run into walls. I want to make it so they go around walls. I was thinking of making a follower and doing flee instead of follow and fleeing a colored tag. When I do that though my other follower gets turned off. I think that would be too simplistic. You're going to need to rig some path-finding logic which isn't exactly easy to do. Basically, you'll need to tell it which way to go to get around the wall, which means you'll need to rig your logic so that when the player is in a certain area, it can tell the bot to take a left at the 7-Eleven and a right at the old high school two blocks up the road... so to speak. I'm pretty handy with logic, but I'm not sure if I would even know how to do it exactly with anything more than a relatively simple map. | 2011-02-15 05:00:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |
