Introductions: That Extra Amazingness

Ok, so i more or less know how to make an introduction (you know where the screen is black and it says ____ presents) but it's not a GOOD introduction. More like an 'ehh' one. How do you make the intro perfect? For example, the one I have in mind is where it starts off black then it says _____ presents...then the name of my upcoming series and then level name. Ive tried movie cameras but it kept messing up and getting my character to spawn in the actual level is a bit confusing.
Any help appreciated! Thanks.

I don't know how to fix your problems, but a good intro is more than displaying big shiny words, you should make a cutsence that shows some information about your level, like the backstory or something. Then you can show the level name and yours.2011-02-15 02:11:00

Well, first off I cannot get my character to spawn without triggering the actual level. When the level starts you spawn underwater and swim to the surface. But when the introduction is there I want the character to spawn so that you can view the intro AND THEN the level. That's one.2011-02-15 12:50:00

Make sure you're using a sequencer to sequence your cutscene, else this advice will make no sense.

If you want the sequencer to start immediately and not allow the player to spawn, you should pause, attach a battery to the sequencer's forward input, then switch to play mode. Also, overlap movie cameras on your timeline to create transitions (remember to tweak the transition style in each camera), and use tags on your sequencer to trigger tag sensors elsewhere in your level - this saves wiring and helps you figure out when everything is triggered. That should help you sequence things a bit more easily.
