I've been around LBP2's GFAQs board a bit, but this place seems way more appropriate for someone as dedicated as I am. I have a passion for game design/programming so you might imagine how much I enjoy LBP2's create mode. I've got one published level so far (not counting some garbage from LBP1) that I put a few hundred hours into and counting. I hope to continue improving on it and follow up with even better ones in the future. Oh yeah, and unless it's a learning tool or something of the sort, nothing I create will ever be easy on the player. Guess I'll head over to the showcase now. | 2011-02-14 12:37:00 Author: Unknown User |

Hello and welcome to LBPC Grim. I like your name... Grim... nice and short, easy to remember. Umm... anyways... game design you say? Interesting. Did you ever work in the industry? Well, I say work, but what I really mean is toil endlessly. Ohh yeah, crunch time, two words you don't wanna to hear at production meetings. But yeah, welcome. And no, you don't have to answer my inane question. | 2011-02-14 20:16:00 Author: Snake Mountain Posts: 84 |
Did you ever work in the industry? Nah, I've only recently turned 18 but I've been using this (http://www.blitzbasic.com/Products/blitzplus.php) independently for a few years. I spent a lot of time on random projects that never got finished, and the only one which I ended up letting people play in its incomplete state was HYPERSUPER CANNON (http://www.orangemarble.net/hsc.zip). I'm a bit familiar with C++ but I've only put maybe a week of effort into studying it. Hard to learn to make games when you keep getting sidetracked by them. | 2011-02-15 03:11:00 Author: Unknown User |

Well, if it's something you're interested in, stick with it. It can be hard to maintain motivation sometimes, but online communities can be useful in that regard. And I think something like LBP is an excellent tool in teaching level and gameplay design. | 2011-02-17 22:45:00 Author: Snake Mountain Posts: 84 |
