Now that looking at hearted lvls is so much easier in LBP2 and on LBP.me I've been going through my hearted levels and replaying some of them. I've always been a little bit stingy with my hearts. I don't hand them out at the drop of a hat but if I half-way enjoy a lvl, I'll heart it. This is has got me thinking, what is hearting for? Is it to show someone that you like their lvl? Then what is the yay or nay for? Is hearting so that you can go back to replay a lvl because you really enjoyed it? Right now I have so many lvls that even with filtering I still can't seem to find stuff. How stingy are you all with hearts? Does a lvl have to be REALLY outstanding to earn a heart? I'm playing through my hearted lvls and I have found myself actually unhearting lvls about half the time. Not that they are bad lvls, they just don't seem as great as I remember them. I'm also trying to decide if I want to both heart creators and their lvls or if I'm just going to heart creators. Once I heart a creator I can always go back to all their lvls easily enough. What do you all think? What is your process for deciding to heart or not? Do you ever unheart lvls? On a side note, I do miss the star rating. I felt that it allowed for more shades of grey. It would be nice if you could filter by the number of stars that you personally rate a lvl (like iTunes allows for example).

I heart a level if it's something I'd want to replay a lot, and it's really impressed me more than most levels do. If there's a level I like but I wouldn't want to play it much or it had nothing that amazed me, I won't heart it. I'll never heart a creator either unless I have hearted a lot of their levels. Even though I could as you mentioned, just heart the creator and not their levels, I think it shows more appreciation to the creator to heart their levels too. Also, it lets people see what levels I really like when looking through my hearted levels list. Seeing a list of creators I like doesn't tell anyone but myself what levels I liked by them.

Heart = favorites. I don't see any other way to use it really.

i honestly don't even know what i'm hearting for anymore. if i like it's a happy face. if i love it, it's a heart. i like showing ppl i like their stuff & hope it motivates them. i heart the author if theyre always awesome or if i can tell they'll be routinely awesome. i haven't really looked at my hearted list since LBP1. the LBP1 stuff i kept hearted is the cream of the crop... my LBP2 stuff is probably a hodge podge of things i'll never play in the future. but there are a few classics already imo.
